How Many Of These Seven Would You Like To Count On In 2010?
-------------------------------------------------
Grady, Richard, Ninkovich, Crable, Woods, Thomas, Alexander
==================================================

Perhaps I can see why Green, Burgess and LeKevin Smith are looking good to us.

1 maybe.... We need an injection of talent.. Whether its Taylor, keeping AD or drafting some young players..

Ninkovich and Crable. Woods as the ST stud. The rest can go GFY.

I don't get why everyone keep wanting to "get younger" or have "an infusion of youth". THESE GUYS ARE ALL YOUNG. That's why they are all unproven. Granted, Crable has struggled to stay healthy and Woods hasn't stepped up but they did attempt to "go young" the last couple years.

I dont buy it, I can name countless high motor, talented, athletic DE/OLB/ILB prospects that the pats passed on in round 1/ 2 in the past 3 years...

Mayo is an outlier here....

I think AD is a good player, I think we should trade him though and get good value...

Boy that sure is one uglyass group.....

The preferred number would be zero.

If Crable even gets a paper cut in TC he is gone

Enough of his glass ass with another injury we hope won't happen,we need football players who can make the field,injuries are not avoidable but nevertheless he needs to find a new occupation if it happens for a 3rd season.

Crable could actually break a record in NFL history for being a seasoned 3 year vet that never saw the field

Seven replacements is a lot of players, but I tend to agree than zero would be preferred.

I would actually be fien keeping Woods as a special teamer. Two of our nine linebackers are usually specialt teamers first.

I'd prefer to keep Ninkovich, as well.

I don't really get what the big deal is. Every team has similar JAGs at the bottom of their roster.

OK, let we state it a different way. Our starting OLB's are Banta-Cain and Ninkovitch. Our backups are Crable and Woods. Thomas is on the way out. This is certainly the worst set of OLB's of any playoff team.

Wright is a starting RDE. Our backups are Grady and Richard.

That is a sorry state of affairs.

I expect this to be addressed in FA and the draft.

Plus, we could always keep Adalius around

grady and richard. may not make the team. if crable dose not come in to TC at 260lbs he will be put on IR again or cut. ninkovich, is not a very good back up.

woods, is a ok back up on running downs. alexander, is the worst back up LB in NFL history. lol but he is a nice ST player.

i think most of them will get replaced by rookies.

Is that Grady from Sanford and Son, did we pick up that old fat tackle, or is it someone else?

OK I peeked. Why are we counting a guy that wasn't even on the practice squad most of the season? Does anyone really think he's going to make the team?

Wright's not starting, they'll have a draft pick, a vet or both to play end, or they just wasted a ton of money on Wilfork. They need someone who can draw a double or disrupt at least occasionally, not a versatile backup, otherwise offenses will go for the weakness.

I looked up Richard's scouting due to Pats 1 hyping him and he was actually rated ahead of Pryor often. We'll see if he shows something. They'll bring in competition at line too, they always do.

Thomas is gone. I think they are letting things settle and hoping for offers. Woods is a fine backup and special teamer, probably for life, if he's lucky. I like Nincovich too, but he's just deoth for now. Crable is athletic as hell. If he doesn't come loaded for bear with the playbook memorized backwards, then he just doesn't want it.

Alexander still has the incriminating photos from Ken Walter's collection, apparently. As a backup linebacker, he makes Larry Izzo look like **** Butkus, so you tell me...

Perhaps I can see why Green, Burgess and LeKevin Smith are looking good to us.

They're better than some mentioned. I still think burgess would be all right if we had a three man instead of a two man line. The Seymour deal was good, but it's time to fill that hole.

most of them smell like untreated sewage.......

crable struggle to stay healthy? he's a corpse on a gurney

it wasn't an attempt to go young........it was more like they got stuck with these young guys who suck

ninkovich was the only one who showed signs of life

That was my thought, also. Most of those guys are only on a roster while it has 80 spots.

But Ninkovich played well. Not a probowler, but respectable depth, as good or better than the average league non-starting LB. I don't want to give up on Crable too soon. His first "IR" was a shin injury and I thnk BB simply red-shirted him. One legitimate season ending injury is no biggie. Ben Watson started his career by going on IR his first year (first game, in fact, right? vs the Colts?)

I agree that most of these players shouldn't make the roster. But then that's the point. These players would ALL make the roster as of today. We need to look for replacements or at least competition for every one of them.

3, Ninkovich, Woods and Alexander are all counted on for special teams. Crable could be one we count on but we will only need one out of a group of guys he is included in to perform.

I think at LB we Start Mayo, Guyton, TBC and have to count on one of the group of Crable, McKenzie, Free Agent, Draftee #1, Draftee #2. To fill in the last spot. Ideally we could get two starters out of the group and allow TBC to be a situational rusher.

Just 3:
Ninko (can he play SILB, too?),
ADT (we got nobody else, so we're stuck with him),
and Crable (until he at least proves on the field that he sux).

Grady's too small for our system;
Richard has the size for 3-4 DE, but not the speed or strength;
and Woods & Alexander are garbage.

it would be more accurate to put is as 'the worst 3-4 OLB group in the NFL'
