OT- Wrong Borges

More curious than angry, Ian. I really like the twitter section and think its a fine addition to the site, even with those guys I might disagree with. But Borges is the exception.

Honestly, like I said, I had done it a couple of years ago and hadn't really thought about it since, up until obviously when this thread popped up. But I've updated his and a couple of others, so hopefully that takes care of it. It was for the better, as there were a couple of things I noticed I needed to fix, so it all worked out

But I feel like there's a bunch of people angry with me about something and I'm obviously sorry for whatever that is. If anyone wants to vent and let me know what I've screwed up or I'm doing wrong that has quite a few upset, hopefully you guys know that you can PM me if you need to ... ?

IMHO the only thing you did wrong was think you may have done something wrong.

Sure Borges is a douche but until recently he was a sports columnist for one of the 2 dailies in town with a national profile not to mention this market's HoF voter. You would have been doing something irresponsible if you had an option for selectable twitter feeds and he wasn't available. The operative word being 'selectable' since it's not as though anyone had to have his feed enabled. Of course not having been here all that long maybe there's some things I am unaware of. For instance if you are a clairvoyant empath and you are supposed to be using those abilities to pre-select everyone's personal preferences then you have obviously been shirking your responsibilities and owe the poor sensitive souls exposed to the scarifying horror of Borges tweets that you personally should have turned off a profound apology, BTW if it is your job to intuit and preset personal preferences you really dropped the ball on mine, whiny *****es and people without a sense of humor should have been automatically blocked from my view. Being kind of insensitive myself I don't require an apology but please do get right on that

Wow...did I do something that everyone is mad at me about and I don't know it...?

I said in my last two posts that all I did a couple of years ago is grab all the different writers for each media outlet and add them to a list, along with all the players. Borges was included because he was a columnist/writer for the Herald. I also spent a lot of time developing a way for people to add/remove writers on their own depending on who they did/didn't want to see and that was based off requests on here before I put it together. That feature was a priority when I built the new template, and it had some issues early on before I fixed it. But that was two years+ years ago...it's not a recent thing. Now that he's no longer with the Herald, I removed him from the list and should have done that last week but didn't think of it until it came up last night when this thread started.

I thought people would like having the newsfeed and twitter feed available in case a reporter tweeted something that was breaking news, or if something interesting came across. But I also made it where people could disable it if they wanted to just to make sure. I had no ulterior motive aside from that...?

I don't think that you're the one with the problem @Ian. The problem lies with those who couldn't be bothered to read your posts that contained the answers.

Btw, if I haven't said thank you lately Ian, let me do that now...
