Rice had a better career, obviously, with decent production even beyond age 40, and career numbers that are just crazy.

Moss at his peak was better, but his peak was not sustained anywhere nearly as long.

So...
better over a career? Rice
better for winning one play, one game, or one season at his very best? Moss

So I think the answer is Rice, but it depends on your time frame.

A couple of points with respect to that.
Rice led the nfl in receptions twice, receiving yards 6 times and TDs 6 times. Moss was 0/0/5.
 
I guess it depends on your QB and offense. I think that Moss would be a better choice for most of the top quarterbacks in the league over the last decade.
 
I know I started this thread, but I feel like Moss is closer to TO than he is Rice. Is that wild to say? These guys are probably 1-3 all time.
