OT: The Jets are horrible

Re: The Jets Are Horrible

Looks like NY completely whiffed on drafting Wilson.

He looked absolutely god awful. But we should remember that he's a rookie playing in his first game. It's way too early to tell if he'll be a bust just yet.

Re: The Jets Are Horrible

Hey...I'm here as a Jets fan ready to eat crow. Got the salt, pepper, knife & fork ready.

Observations: Sanchez had terrible numbers...but allow me to ask you this: What play(s) did Sanchez make that made you say "Damn, I can't believe he missed that open reciever!" or, "Man I can't believe he threw that pass!" or "Geez! What a terrible decision!" I don't think you saw anything like that. The problem with Sanchez is that he doesn't trust what his eyes are seeing. He pauses just to make sure that what he sees is true, and those pauses get him killed.

I was at the game, no Jets reciever got significant separation from the banged up Ravens secondary.

But where were the slants on the third & short yardage for the Jets?
Where were the reverses & end arounds? Why not make the aged Ravens LB's run side to side more?
Sanchez has been known to have success when he is asked to roll out of the pocket and make throws, but where was that today?

Kyle Wilson got 'welcomed to the NFL' big time.
Cromartie was holding on almost every play.

Knew something was amiss when the Jets get the ball inside the 10 yard line after Shaun Ellis SMACKED Joe Flacco, got a fumble, and settled for three.

Can't wait for the Jets to try atone in week 2.

Then I guess based on one game you could say that Cunningham sucks too,he didn't do much either

Re: The Jets Are Horrible

The two Jets fans eating crow in this thread has to be some sort of record for Jets fans returning here after an offseason of smack talking to eat their crow.

The biggest part of being QB for an NFL team is in your head. After watching hard knocks I knew this guy wasnt ready to be a prime time player. Can he? Maybe but not yet.

I saw that also. I was thinking, "This guy is such a friggin' goofball." Like everything is a big joke. Totally unfocused. No clipboard, no notebook, not even a pen to a meeting. Am I missing something? I wouldn't think of not bringing a notebook and pen to a company meeting...even if it was just for show and I didn't write a thing. Like he just has to show up and everything is going to work out. High school's over...act like a professional.

I can't imagine Brady with such a lackadasical attitude.

Re: The Jets Are Horrible

The Jets offense was historically bad. Despite that, the team only lost 10-9. I'm sure that Belichick isn't fool enough to overlook the significance of that. That Jets defense was excellent.

I don't recall Cunningham drawing penalties like a mad man

Re: The Jets Are Horrible

Jets fans saying their team was bad!!!

Has hell frozen over?

Good for them

I still think it'll be a HARD game for us next week, our D isnt anywhere near as experienced as the Ravens and the Jets D will test the O-Line and be all over the running game

We'll need some good playcalling and production from the TE's. Also like to see Taylor used out of the backfield as he was a little on Sunday

Wonder too if we'll see WW and Edelman used together

I think both teams suffered from poor early season play and made a ton of mistakes. The Ravens offense was pretty inconsistent at first as well. Both should improve, but the Ravens definitely looked a lot further along.

However, I think your right. The Jets will still be a challenge for any team because of that defense. They will present a tough challenge for NE. I wonder if we will be able to take as much advantage of Cromartie as Baltimore did considering will have Tate out there and not an experienced guy like Boldin/Housh. Welker on Wilson however should be open though. The other interesting match up will be how the pats Dline stacks up against their Oline. Much of the Jets offense struggles were a result of that terrific Dline. So I definitely think it is way too early to be dancing on anyone's grave, but I thought Sanchez looked unusually poor and had problems that didn't look like they could be fixed in a week or even several weeks.

Re: The Jets Are Horrible

There have always been a few Jets fans who come over here and man up after their games, so I am not surprised at all about this post. That being said, it will certainly be a very good test for the Patriots on Sunday. Fun Fun Fun, it's football time!!

Re: The Jets Are Horrible

F
You were right. I suck.

at least you are man enough to admit it. ;0) seriously tho....it is one game....but I do agree with others that have posted previously.......trying to picture sanchize leading a drive late under pressure is pretty tuff tight now.....he still seems very raw and nervous!

I think the issue is the staff knew/knows he is not developing into what the thought he might be and have completely stripped down the game-plan so he is not exposed.

Be careful what you wish for.

Bill Belichick would straighten his ass out. The problem is his head coach is a circus clown who tells harsh jokes in an attempt to 'drum up business' and fill seats.

Re: The Jets Are Horrible

No Supe For You! :rocker:

LOL

I should be ashamed to admit it, but I enjoyed the J-E-T-S, jets, jets, jets loss almost as much as I enjoyed the Patriots win. It's a character flaw, I know.

Nah, you seem like an OK guy, a little confused when it comes to the NFL in general and the AFC East in particular, but you don't seem to "suck." Your team on the other hand.........

Re: The Jets Are Horrible

Wow, last play of the game, Jets receiver goes out of bounds 6 inches short of the 1st down marker. I'm so glad these buffoons got embarrassed on MNF and their fans are booing them. Now, if they can just keep it up in 6 days.

Yeah, that was amazing. I couldn't tell whether he just couldn't control the angle, but, as they say on the telecasts, "You've gotta make that play."

Re: The Jets Are Horrible

Just read an update on Jenkins injury. 50-50 it could be season ending, which could mean career ending based on what he said last year.

Too bad, I hate to see that happen to any player. except Bobby Wade- I still hold a grudge for what he did to Rodney.
