OT: Seahawks get only a "warning" for injuryreportgate

One of his best early moves was to hire an assistant Coach that BB liked, he assigned him to look at all college QB's. "We are going to be drafting a QB late in the draft" The assistant loved TB and was the only NFL team to call Tom.

Was that **** Rehbein? Poor guy....he was largely responsible for the Pats picking Brady, then died of a heart attack before seeing Brady take a snap for the team

I think the best use of the back of the shirts would be to list Pats and other teams offenses and punishments, listed like you see concert dates and locations on rock band T-shirts.

Patriots - Camera in wrong place - 1st round pick forfeited and $750,000 in fines
Rats - Tripgate - $100,000 fine
Seahawks - Hiding injuries from injury report - Warning
Broncos - Taping the 49ers pre-game walkthrough - $ 100,000 fine
Giants - Using walkie-talkies to communicate during a game - 4th round pick degraded 12 spots at most
Pats - Footballs being under pressure due to IGL - 4 game suspension for Tom Brady and forfeited 1st and 4th round draft picks
Chiefs - Tampering with a free agent early - 3rd round pick forfeited
Giants - Player viciously abusing spouse - Rule calls for a 6 game suspension, but player was suspended just one game
Steelers - Footballs found to be under pressure - Probably due to low temperatures, but never investigated and no punishment
Colts - Sticking a needle in opposing teams' ball - No penalty
Giants - Sticking a needle in opposing teams' ball - No penalty

etc

etc
Don't be so eager to list the Broncos on that shirt. Recall who actually ordered the taping of the walkthrough and who his current employer is.

McDaniel was working for the Broncos when the offense occurred.

By the same logic we can blame the Browns for Spygate and Defamegate since BB used to be their HC.

You guys act like you don't believe Petey...

Oh look, more #Integrity from 345 Park Avenue!

In addition to the OP's link to PFT, here are a couple other worthwhile columns on the subject:

Seahawks' Punishment For Hiding Injury Reportedly Goes From Loss Of Second-Round Pick To ... Just A Warning

It’s worth questioning NFL’s reported punishment for Seahawks’ violation of injury-reporting policy

And yet fans of other teams still think Patriot fans need to 'just drop it' and 'get over it', despite the obvious parallels with disparate penalties (or lack thereof). smh

From the Hurley article...
"Even though Brady had absolutely nothing to do with the team’s videotaping practices on a September Sunday in New Jersey, he was forced to pay the price by facing an unprecedented level of punishment."

Say WHAT????

I know what he means to say but the ambiguous wording fuels the fire

Bingo!

Don't care anymore. Why you ask? 1......2......3.......4.......5.......5.......5.......5.......5555555555!!!!!!!!!

The Pats won, they all lost! The Pats are the best ever! Brady is the best ever! BB is the best ever! The Pats just made Goddell, the NFL front office, the NFL owners and about 95% of the fans across the country their b!tch. And I still have an ear to ear grin on my face. Nothing, can take that away from me as a Pats fan. Its just tooooooo good.

It's just the inconsistency of NFL punishments that is so frustrating. The Jets get multiple fines for not reporting Brett Favre and the Seahawks get nothing?

Did anyone see Reiss's (I think it was Reiss) article this week about how by getting to the line early, Brady was still able to her McDaniels say thinks like "Watch Danny on this one" and things like that. When you read that, McAdoo's using walkie talkies to talk to the QB and it doesn't turn off inside 15 seconds, that should be a huge deal.

NFL owners have been successful and understand the importance of consistent processes. Taking fairness out of it, the inconsistency has to be very frustrating to them.

On the other hand, the Giants turning in the Steelers for footballs averaging 11.6 PSI shows they haven't learned anything.

It started almost immediately after the story about Denver taping other team's practices broke, but I never saw the logic in the stance that McDaniels previously working for the Patriots reflects poorly on NE but also means the Broncos get a pass.

If anything, McDaniels coming from the New England should have earned Denver a much, much larger penalty. He had a "criminal past" and committed a much more egregious crime with Denver. Either Denver failed to monitor McDaniels or their organizational culture is so cutthroat that they encouraged him to do whatever it takes to win. The league's response of "Eh, $50k for the team, $50k for the coach" response was the opposite of how the situation should have been handled. We didn't know it then, but it was precursor of the league's handling of PSI in footballs. When the Patriots were involved, it was the crime of the century. When the Steelers, Jets or Panthers were implicated, it merits a warning letter, if that.

Seahawks skate on Sherman injury-report snafu

Florio nails it. Can't punish one of the league's darling franchises so they had to look the other way on SEA.

"Integrity" Goodell style. Too bad that word isn't on the clown shirts.
Pete Caroll HONESTLY apologized, what more do you want?
Acting like BB who said that nature is guilty of deflation. BB should apologize for natural deflation. HONESTLY apologized.
