Hang in there. Best advice I can give is force yourself to get up and walk. Walk as far as you feel you can then do it again every hour. That will get you home. I’d also recommemd sleeping in a recliner when you get home, because the while getting in and out of bed thing is a ***** at first.? I was just thinking about you. Sounds like you fumbled the ball and didn't get the quintuplet bypass.. J/K.. I don't envy what your diet is going to look like in the future. Glad that you are doing better, though.? Hey folks, I am really touched by all the well wishes, thoughts and prayers. I had a triple bypass and an aortic valve replacement on Tuesday. I found it helped to use your elbows more too. Pulling yourself with hands was tough and using my shoulders put stress on the core too. Using my elbows kind of split the difference. I kind of just leaned into place with my elbows and then pivoted onto my hips and butt.Hang in there. Best advice I can give is force yourself to get up and walk. Just keep in mind, the problem is fixed, and once you get through the recovery you will feel better than you have in many years.
I was told not to use the elbow at all or reach back. They scared me real badly about pulling the sternum apart and having to have it redone.I found it helped to use your elbows more too.
