He could retire after his year, stay with GB as his relationship with the GM seems better, or get traded. But just looking at him physically, his face and all, he is looking pretty haggard. He is still playing at a very high level though but I think it is fair to wonder for how much longer especially if he leaves LaFleur whose system is perfect for him.Rodgers does not act like a person who envisions playing much longer. Brady on the other hand was pledging to play until 45 when he was 35
I don’t think they’re screwed by the cap. I look for (a) bad contracts and (b) dead cap hits. They have about 10-15M in contracts they’ve deferred and will be paying in 2023, but half of that is Brady, who could restructure.
CB Jamel Dean is at practice in a non contact jersey still in concussion protocol. DT William Gholston (patrllar tendon) has returned. WR/KR Jaelon Darden still on a non contact jersey.
Tom Brady on why he was mean to Rob Gronkowski when the tight end was a rookie. “It was intentional,” Brady said. “Trying to toughen him up.”
Bucs DC Todd Bowles framed the Richard Sherman at safety thing more in context today, saying they cross-train guys for emergency situations, that it would be a lot to ask even a smart veteran like Sherman to switch positions entirely in the middle of a season.
As the Bucs and Bills prepare to meet this Sunday, some of their current success goes back to their trade during the 2018 NFL Draft. The Bills selected Josh Allen. The Bucs picked Vita Vea.
Bills pass defense has allowed an NFL-low three touchdown catches by receivers this season -- just Jets' Elijah Moore, Chiefs' Byron Pringle, Steelers' Diontae Johnson. Only eight passing TDs total allowed by Buffalo, six less than any other NFL team.
Absolutely. Of course, since it's this season, it's now Jansen who might have to miss time.Great news on Gholston. Thought he might miss time.
They'll need someone to replicate his ridiculously high snaps that Brady is now used to.That Jensen injury isn't good
I read somewhere that "Temperamental Tommy" was too mean to his new receivers. I guess Brady was just following Bill's teachings. Someone should tell that to PFK.Hmmm... wonder who he learned that tack from.
BTW... go Bucs! Beat Buffalo!!!
Better to have watchedNobody is coming close to Brady's numbers, regular season or playoffs, no matter how many games the NYFL plays each season. Unfortunately, I'm too old to be around long enough to say I told you so.
Over the course of his 22-year career, Tom Brady has broken a lot of NFL records, but there is one record that he's still chasing and if he ends up breaking it, it will definitely be notable and that's because it's a record that Peyton Manning considered unbreakable when he retired from football following the 2015 season.
The record we're talking about is the most touchdowns by a quarterback-receiver duo in NFL history. The record is currently held by Manning and Marvin Harrison, who connected for 114 touchdowns during their time together in Indianapolis. That total includes 112 scores in the regular season and two touchdowns in the postseason.
..."I think many records will be broken -- most of my records will be broken -- I don't believe that record that me and Marvin have of throwing the most touchdowns together will ever be broken," Manning said at the time...
Not really unbreakable as the record would have bean beaten long time ago if Gronk didn't miss so many games.
