OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

It is like he is allergic to stepping up in the pocket. To me, that is 100 percent on Reid. They have to coach him out of those habits. He is making more mistakes than miracle plays with the freelancing.
Even his last second desperation throws were off-balance.

I wonder what this was for?

He is the most unorthodox great QB. But that stuff always catches up to you. NFL defenses are too good. What the Bucs did to them in the SB are what every team is employing right now. Roll coverage, stay patient, have a safety over the top and he will throw you one or two.

Stafford the front runner right now
Good Stafford can have the MVP.

A QB needs gawdy stats to win the MVP which in most cases indicates an unbalanced team. Thus, for the last 20 years or so, the MVP player always plays on a team that falls short of a SB. 2007 should have been the exception but I think they came into the SB overconfident and unprepared to adjust their offense to a ferocious Giants defence.

Brady is having MVP stats right now due to an underwhelming run game and bad defence where no lead is safe.

Trying to keep them fresh? I don't know it was weird to me too

Panthers trade for CJ Henderson.

I wanted the Buccaneers to double dip and trade for him while also signing Sherman. He's been a disappointment but the Jaguars are a dumpster fire.

IMO, Bowles is a below average DC.

I don't know. Sherman is risky as he might not have it anymore.

The Pat's look like a good trading partner but might not be willing to trade Gilmour until closer to the deadline. Bucs would probably have to give up a 1st or 2nd rounder plus a player,.. Scottie? Brate? OJ? Maybe a young cornerback?

Gilmore would be the home run move. I just don’t know if I see it happening.

That would be great for the Pats. Bill could try to pry a high pick if the Bucs were open to actually signing Gilmore long term.

Question: “Bill, over the course of you and Tom’s time together, you said dozens of times that there was no quarterback you would rather have. When did that change?”

Belichick: “It never changed."

Question: "So, you wanted Tom to re-sign here after the 2019 season?"

Belichick: "I think we've been through all the dynamics of that. There were a lot of things there. He looked at his options and made a decision. We weren’t as good of an option as Tampa. So, I mean, you’d have to ask him about all that. But that really wasn’t a question about not wanting him -- that’s for sure.”

So Bill said Tom left because he wanted to be with a better team. I'm getting dizzy reading this spin... cmon Bill.

What do you guys think of Evans? Bucs fans are so in love with him but the contrast with him and Cooper Kupp is glaring who is definitely top 3. Stafford had megatron at his prime and now this guy.

Evans is very good but he doesn't seem to have the ability to get wide open and take a pass downtown for 40plus yards. Gronk use to have it. AB still does. Godwin gets close.

When Brady went to the Bucs, I thought Evans was a top 5 receiver in the conversation with Tyreek Hill and Kupp. But after a season and a bit of watching him, I'd say he falls in the category as a very good Wr#1 in the top 15, but he is nowhere close to top 5.

I’d say somewhere in the top 15.

Brady has a better connection with Brown and Godwin. Watching Evans give up on a couple of routes every game is annoying.

That move would make Davis, Dean, and Murphy-Bunting look a lot better too.

If Bill is open to moving him, Licht needs to be on the phone right away.

Belichick wanted Brady to stay, for sure... on a one year deal, at way below market value, while conceding nothing in his day to day treatment of Brady, and giving him no NFL worthy weapons again in 2020.

That's a "want" that's not to be taken seriously.

Everybody wants to go to heaven, but nobody wants to die.

No.

It is a simple case of interests not being aligned anymore. Brady wanted things the Pats could/would not offer (some they could not, some they would not).

We are all reading WAY too much into this.

Which could they not?
