OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

AB was still in a walking boot as of yesterday. I have asked this twice already, what the hell is going on with the Bucs and their injury timelines because everyone who gets hurt seems to be fine then is gone for a month.
The team is less than truthful about injuries is my guess.

It also could mean a setback for Gronk too.

What a downer, I was enjoying AB and Gronk move up the all time list. Now it's only Evans.

Actually I’m pretty sure it’s literally the opposite and Arians just shares the initial diagnosis and then the follow ups which end up being worse.
BA is just an eternal optimist.

It would appear that AB has had a big setback otherwise it doesn't make sense to sign Perriman.

Cross fingers AB is back before the playoffs.

I think they don’t know exactly what’s up with AB. Arians said ankle sprain close to his heel. My fear is also that this is some weird one. But he’s still not IR’d.

Still, with Miller coming back, that’s Evans, Godwin, Miller, Johnson, and all those other pass catchers. Not sure what the thinking is with Perriman. I see he did play there in 2019, so maybe it’s about a guy who knows the offense who can fill in if needed.

Brady has a mind meld with AB like he had with Branch and I will be really pissed if he’s out.
I think he's fine he's not on IR at least not yet.

Both AB and Gronk are very important for the stretch run into the postseason! I say it's better to be safe than sorry by letting them both rest/heal up for however long it takes!

From NFL.com…this made me laugh out loud.

Interesting that Murray is that far ahead of Lamar. I think that bodes well for Brady as Murray is hurt and didn't play last week and at some point the Cards will crater like they did vs the Packers.

Ughh I’ll be really pissed OBJ goes to the Packers.

Same issue with the Patriots. I don’t think he’s much better than Cobb. They have three competent receivers behind Adams. And their offense is highly based on precision and play design.

Chiefs make most sense because after Hill, those guys suck. And that’s the place for free lancing. I don’t think he’ll improve them much, but I honestly think in GB, NE, etc. he winds up with a few targets per game and barely does anything.

I'll have to mute Nick Wrong if OBJ becomes a Chief.

Spot on. Receivers have a tough time coming here anyway, especially in the middle of the year. It would actually hurt NE more than help becuase then you get Jones forcing balls to Odell. No thanks. You want Odell to go to a established QB that runs the team, he will eat a rookie alive.

OBJ should be begging the Bucs to take him, even at the minimum, for the rest of the season. Brady would be there to try making him a better route runner. But, continuing his history of bad decisions, Beckham will go to a team with a QB who freelances all the time, which is exactly what he needs to avoid.

Not worth the headache. Maybe as a FA next offseason if his market sucks.

Bottom end employees are often 100%, or nearly 100%, fungible in the particular job/role that's paid at the bottom. No fast food company needs the world's best french fry cooker manning the deep fryer, for example.
Yeah, engineers are not bottom-end. When they go that route you end up with stuff like the Boeing 737 Max.
