OT: Official 2020 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

This thread is about to get really ugly if the Chiefs do what I think they will to the Pats. Get ready for some new folks who “don’t care at all” but will scream and cry about this thread existing.
Yeah. The timing could not be worse. Brady has his best game in a long time with 5 Tds to 5 different receivers and we have Hoyer starting. Oy vey! I am sure this thread will heat up. lol

They will. But : It’s a long play for NE. Tampa wants to win now.

Ultimately, the odds of Tampa winning it all this year aren’t that great.

I don't think so. Anyone with any sort of intelligence understands there is pretty much no chance that what we'd see from Brady in NE this year would be any different than what we saw last year. It is what it is. I expected Brady to have a good year in Tampa and he is.

Sure

I agree with everything except the "top level talent" part....

Even when Moss was in NE, Brady's deep ball (and touch passes) weren't as consistently good as they are now in Tampa this year. I think today's game vs LAC was actually Brady's most inconsistent 'deep-ball' performance in Tampa, so far, and he was still dropping it in the bucket & doing far more than he typically did in NE (especially in the 2nd half). I'm honestly beginning to question if Belichick/McDaniels just didn't have Brady practice it enough. Arians clearly does.

Also, -- it doesn't happen that often -- but I can't tell you how many times I've seen Brady dropback and look deep and it just makes me cringe - even before I know the result - because it seems so low-percentage (for Brady). Well, I had that feeling more than once today and, fortunately, I was completely wrong. Brady nailed it on those touch passes. It brought them back into the game, too. Again, I rarely saw this in NE.

because NE scouts are horrible at drafting talented WRs

Meanwhile, our starting QB caught Covid and we’re about to get our cheeks clapped up on national television tomorrow night and fall to .500.

doesnt matter we already celebrated our super bowl when we started 1-0 and Bradylost to NO on the road

hahah your have picked 32 QBs over Brady two weeks ago and starting last year stop back peddling

Glad things are working out for tommy. The split has been good for both sides. Cam is a better fit for our current offense than tom and the current tampa offense is a better fit than ne for tom.

That wasn't me. I always said Brady would have a good year.

Bet you're still seething the Pats are pretty good without him though

So I'll try this question against since I didn't get a response the first time, or maybe I missed it. Tompa fans are especially welcome to answer.

What do you think is a successful season for Brady this year? Super Bowl win? NFC Championship win? Breaking records? Doing better than his old team?

I think anything short of making the NFC Championship game would be a failed season. It's all set up for him there to do at least that, so he should.
