"If you watch the films from the end of last year, the guy had nothing left," a general manager with multiple Super Bowl rings said last week. "It's not a knock on him personally. All those carries are going to catch up to anyone."

A guy like that, who had access to said film and likely boatloads of additional data...might know and thing or three about the subject. Hmm... there can't be that many of those guys around.

Let the implosion begin! How long until LaClassy starts trashing his team and going to war with the media? Hey maybe he can drag Revis into the mix and the two of them and Cromartie can go knock up half of NYC to show everyone who's boss.

The comments to the article are even more enlightening. Only one guy agrees with the reporter. The others are trashing the article and the reporter because he said something they didn't want to hear. Gosh, it's almost like somewhere else I've been reading..... hmm.... where could that be?

Well, Pioli is a little biased since the Jets gave away a Pro Bowl caliber RB that Pioli snatched up for the same price the Jets paid for the broken down big name. In 2009, Thomas Jones rushed for twice as many yards as Tomlinson did the same year.

I still think the Jets are putting a huge gamble on their running game. There is no guarantees that Shonne Greene is durable or consistent enough to replace Thomas Jones especially when the Jets replaced a strong run blocking guard in Alan Faneca with a rookie guard that is universally considered to be raw and a project (although with a lot of upside).

Excellent!!! I love it.
LT is the biggest fraud in the NFL. Yes, he was agreat running back. But, he was never the classy good guy that he and league tried to portray him as. What he was and is, is a spoiled whiner who would rather throw his teammates under the bus rather than take responsibility for poor play.
The New York media will eat this biatch alive. I hope!!!!

Let's face it, this off season has represented an amazing sequence of events even for the Jests. Not only did they win the Spring Super Bowl (as they do most every year), but their QB also got his trip to the White House.

He's one example of why we shouldn't go to 18 games. He's only 30 and he's almost done with his career, which is about the norm these days for RBs. I can't imagine what another 35-40 touches a year will do to these guys.

I'll be honest.. I wouldn't be surprised to see DuCasse end up as a JAG..

Raw prospects with tons of upside turn into JAGs all the time. Unrealized potential is never realized at time.

I have been saying for a year that the Jets have had tradeups for 2 and 3 man drafts for the better part of half a decade. The result is a few very good front liners, like Revis and Harris, a few dismal flops, like Robertson and Gholston; and scrubs and nobodies beside and behind the few good players chosen by them.

Now they have not even waited for the inevitable injuries that they cannot replace. They dismantled their two best squads. Sending Probowl Guard Alan Faneca to the Cards, for a raw rookie from UMASS, hardly a football factory.

Then to insure that their running game was destroyed, they traded their two best RBs, Jones and Washington, and signed a washed up former star who lost it not last year but three years ago. Meanwhile the very good Blocking back has gotten even older; and their changeup back was a nobody from UCLA.

They even experimented with screwing up their secondary. Cromartie had a few good games three years ago; Wrecks traded their good probowl Safety, once again to the Cards.

Welcome back to third place and a losing record.

1) Scott Pioli
2) Ozzie Newsome
3) Bill Parcells
4) Mike Holmgren
5) Chuck Noll (?)


Of them, I think that Parcells is crass enough to throw LdT under the bus..
