Unfortunately, Stanley Morgan doesn’t have a brother who’s in the hall of fame and also a media personality who’s been campaigning for him.
It's definitely a country club of who you know.

Allen over Jackson is wild. All for what, being the 2 seed over the 3 seed?
Jackson had a way better season than Allen.

Vinatieri not being 1st ballot is ludicrous - not only two superbowl winning kicks, but made the greatest kick of all time in the snow game vs the raiders

i can get behind allen over jackson - allen did more with less, 100% made his team better with his play and his leadership, and did it with a weaker offensive team around him - MVP shouldn't be just a stats award

Maybe the voters just wanted to give Allen his first. Lamar has already won a couple.

Or yeah 2 seed > 3 seed
whats the SoS

Tom left Kermit off his ballot Interesting that he had both Chase and Burrow on it.

Also Trollin gets a vote?

AVP got a 5th place vote for assistant coach of the year lol

If AV wasn't in on the first ballot then no kicker ever will be first ballot.

This really felt like it was Allen's turn. Belichick didn't win coach of the year in '04, '14, '16, or '18 when they could have given it to him. It felt like they wanted to spread the wealth around then and this kind of feels like that.

Jackson should have gotten it, but he got it last year, let's give someone else a turn.

The Greatest kicker ever got snubbed for first ballot in the smallest draft class ever and people think Slater has a chance of getting in.

Anyways, looks like they mostly used this class to clear out some backlog. Gates was the easy headliner, and they moved to clear some guys out

Yeah, Jackson probably should have won. But really we're talking Most Valuable Player for two guys who have never been able to get by Mahomes and the Chiefs. Are either one really the most valuable player?

MVP is a regular season award. Also for as much as Mahomes is a stud. He’s currently leading the 15th best offense to the SB. The last two years he’s been above average and the defense really stepped up.

You and I differ on the grading scale here, bud.

It'd be boring if we agreed on everything my friend

Yep, I know, but the timing always seems weird. "Here's an award for being the very best player in the NFL. What are your plans to watch other people play in the Super Bowl?"

I think there's something to be said for Mahomes, the same way there was for Brady, where he's the guy you don't want to have the ball at the end of the game. If that's not the most valuable attribute in the NFL--more than any stats--then someone needs to talk to the GOAT.

If it makes you all feel any better Eli not getting in and Sterling getting in means the Manning’s are not going to be the first brother duo in the HOF

Plus there's a solid 5 doing her best to look like an 8 on his arm
I can see why that picture makes her look 2-3 points lower. Normally she looks better.

Not Lily level but no one is.
