Go look at the list of Chiefs patch catchers. It is remarkably sparse, they lost Hardman and Juju and replaced them with literally no one. If Kelce is hurt holy **** it’s gonna be some Brady throwing to Sam Aiken time in Kansas City.
And now there’s news that Kelce hyperextended his knee.

Kadarius Toney, Skyy Moore, Marquez Valdez-Scantling, Noah Gray and Jerick McKinnon...Kansas City's pass catchers...If Kelce is down for any amount of time I bet Kansas City averages more points on offense per game than the Patriots in the time Kelce is not available

If those were the pass catchers the Pats gave Brady, given what they've done so far in the league, you'd be reaming out the team for negligence. Mahomes can overcome it, but let's not pretend that's a really good group. Without Kelce that's below average.

With Reid it's a decent group, they'll be okay on offense honestly their Oline is stacked

Oh I think they'll be fine too. It's part of team building: You can't stock every position with All Stars, so you pick a few areas where you think you can scheme around lesser talent (and having Mahomes and Reid makes it easier on the pass catchers). And Kelce helps even more with that. But without him, in a vacuum, that's a rough group.

Mahomes will be fine, he’s definitively solidified himself as an all time great. Just like Brady was fine in 2006 2009 2013 and even 2019 to an extent.

But the point isn’t to be just fine and then come up short after a playoff round because the roster isn’t good enough.

Pump the breaks on that statement. Their IOL starters are great but what about their depth.

They are not “stacked“ at OT. Smith is only 30 but he is an old 30 with a lot of tread on his tires and he was not good last year. Some of that may have been injury related, but he also may be falling off the proverbial cliff. Taylor is an effective pass protector, but don’t expect him to consistently move anyone in the run game. The former is obviously much more important for the Chiefs, but that disparity is still less than ideal.

I hope you are right and the Chefs fail miserably, but I still think they'll be okay

The Chiefs still have a ton of options at WR beyond Moore, MVS, and Toney. There's Rice the 2nd round pick and Justyn Ross who has looked good at times.....and the Watson kid is still around right?

Two players with a total of zero NFL snaps = a ton of options? Lol.

Also Moore, MVS and Toney are the worse starting WR trio in the league. MVS will never be anything more than a WR2/3-level deep threat, Moore was awful as a rookie and Toney has done nothing so far to justify the hype.

Still OPTIONS....lol. And I forgot Richie James too...

They have Kadarius Toney whom they brought in last year. They also have Skyy Moore whom they drafted last year. They also added Rashee Rice this year. The Chiefs are expecting a lot from both of them. Don't underestimate Moore or Rice.

Already had the Lions winning. Because of Chris Jones not playing. Or at least looking like he won't play. If they don't have Kelce or Jones it may be a long day on both sides of the ball for the Chiefs.

I'm one of the 9.9% who picked the Lions in the "Picks" contest.
