I hope he's right... Donkeys were a clown car right out of the gate on week 1 last year...
Just imagine what he may had said to Patricia when he went meet with Payton for the DC job.. LOL.. even so.. Russell Wilson is a vet, ALL Pro, superbowl Winning QB. He wasn't healthy last season coupled with the coaching of Hackett.

I doubt we see that version of him this season.

I wouldn't underestimate them due to your Patriot Fandom. They could very well be a SB contender the way their roster is constructed on paper. But you have to play the games first
Even during our winning.. Jets still gave us problems.. they are a division opponent they know us, we know them.. they did beat us in a playoff game on a 14-2 season.. 2010-11.

So even the most Homer's of Homer's have to recognize that Jets are for real.

Sauce to me his game is exactly like Namdi Asomugha the all-pro corner that retired young.

Rodgers, Wilson, breece hall, quinnen Williams, sauce. Yeah.. they are a problem for us.

Yeah I'm fine with the version he was his last few years in Seattle. The version that was in a clear decline and who blamed his coach for it. Same coach that made Geno Smith look pro bowl caliber the minute Wilson walked out the door.

I wouldn't mind seeing that version of him at all.

Edit: his end-of-season numbers look good for his last few years in Seattle but make no mistake he was laying a ton of eggs especially late in seasons and against good competition.

Wilson played with DJ Metcalf and Lockett. Those guys thrived under Wilson. He played hurt alot in Seattle as well. Knee, ankle. A QB like him who's athletic that limits him. He still had a rocket for an arm. Last season he played with partially torn ligaments, now not excusing his play. I just don't think we are going to see a struggling Wilson this season. Geno Smith enherited those same said WRs. After 10 years in the league he some how finally showed that he knew how to play QB effectively.

Didn’t work out here but good luck to him. Maybe a change in scenery will help.

Yes I agree. Good luck to him. I hope it works out somehow. Very rarely does a player blossom after failing at NE, but maybe.

This pick would be under more scrutiny if the 49ers weren’t any good. Like with Bill’s whiffs, they fly under the radar until the losses pile up.

Biggest bust since Jamarcus Russell.

I'm not willing to bury him this quickly, but... It looks at this point that Justin Fields should've been the pick at #3 (as well as #2) if SF wanted to go QB there; though they might've been better-served taking Sewell, Chase, Pitts or Waddle instead - or simply not trade Up in the first place.
