OT: Mike Vrabel named Titans coach

Waiting for the rest of his staff but I think he is definitely not ready to be a HC just yet. Hope the Titans give him time to work it all out because he could develop into a good one.

Seems wild to see a one year DC who coached the worst d in the league grab a HC job but, we all know he’s a smart guy and I hope he’s ready for the task.

I’m a huge fan of Vrabel, but it seems awfully soon for him to be a HC already. He must’ve really wowed Tennessee. Then again, I don’t know how hard that is when you’re replacing Mike Mularkey.

Best wishes to him, I’ll be watching how he does! Kind of a crazy year ahead regarding some of our favorite dudes going elsewhere - Jimmy G in SF, Patricia likely in Detroit, McDaniels in Indy or elsewhere, and now Vrabel in Tennessee... I’ll have at least a little more interest in watching a few teams besides the Pats next year than I normally do (which is usually about zero).

Outside of a few, hiring new experienced head coaches seems like a bum of the month club. If you aren't top of the list for hires, you're probably better taking a shot with a sharp young guy and letting him go through growing pains.

Pats have three games next year against former coaches, with Houston, Detroit and Indy on the schedule......

I may decide to watch Indy-Hou, Indy-Tenn or Tenn-Houston next year...
