OT: Matt Leinart demoted

Maybe it might help if they ever allowed the guy to mature without instantly demoting him. It's clear nobody likes or wants him there in Arizona (which might explain the horrible attitude). He has yet to be allowed to grow into the role of starting quarterback and learn on the field with the starters. It's what on Sons of Sam Horn's board would be called SSS or Small Sample Size. Through a SSS, he hasn't done incredibly well but some quarterbacks need to get into a flow. Perhaps that's Leinart's problem.

Leinart was given every opportunity possible. He just pissed them away quickly.

It is his fifth year in the league, if he hasn't grown into the starting job being a first round QB who has had chance after chance after chance to win the starting job and prove that he is able to handle the pressure of the NFL- he hasn't done that. He has pissed on every opertunity, pissed off his coaches, thrown his teammates under the bus to the media: the guy has burned his bridges and is working his way out of town.

I think the one reason why Leinart is still on the roster is because the Bidwills have paid the guy so much money they're pressuring Wisenhunt to do everything he can to give Leinart the chance to live up to his top 10 pick (something they've done several times before) even though I fully believe he would have been Brady Quinned by teams picking 11-20 if not for Denny Green having the #10 pick. Wisenhunt has no love for the guy and almost seems like he's "giving him a chance" just to say he is in order to satisfy the Bidwill demands. However, Leinart has looked like crap and has no excuses. I'm not a fan of Tebow, but in the few months he's been in the NFL, he's done more to fix his long throwing motion and improve his arm strength than Leinart has in 4 years.
