Neither, i have arachnophobia. know before anyone starts i know lobsters and crabs are not part of the arachnoid family but thee close enough visually. Besides, in the seventies my girlfriend got me to try lobster. My opinion was it was nothing special

I grew up with several lobster fisherman nearby and my family got them for free then as I got older knew some guys who always had some "shorts" they sold for cheap $$.
Sick of them both now, not a fan of butter either..
Give me wild salmon, halibut or cod anyday..
When I was a kid I'd go to my grandmother's and they had an old guy who came around with a cart selling cooked crabs for 25 cents. Man were those great. I still like crabmeat more than lobster.

Grew up eating a lot of clams with my dad except we used margarine (mom called it oleo) instead of butter, when we were done he would peel the clams and put them in melted margarine in a styrofoam cup so they could be heated up again.. it was gross, he died young. Now they don't appeal to me..
I eat corn on the cob plain also, even though many think I am weird I like it that way.
My cousin turned me on to pepper on my corn on the cob. For some reason I had never tried that, but it's great.

There is supposed to be a bar in Manchester, NH with exceptional fried clams and they dont ration them out.

A lot of places get a good name and then do the old mound of fries on the bottom with a layer of clams on top. Petey's in North Hampton pulled that when I was there.
I haven't found a decent fried clam in Manchester and I've been looking for 5+ years.

There's some great Italian food though.

Eating lobster tail is like chewing on an eraser. The claws, though, are good; sort of like crab.

Claw meat is my favorite too.

Something primal about ripping into that tail though. I guess similar for the claw and knuckles too. I think because it's not fork food it gives me a caveman feeling. Or like walking around a fair with a huge turkey leg.

Haddock sandwich and an ale.

Lobster used to be so common that it was literally prison chow.

So up here , Bangor, crab rolls(sweet meat picked from Maine crabs), run a close 2nd to lobster rolls in popularity, and also are a little cheaper.
There's also half and half. Crab at one end, lobster the other.
Fried clams and Haddock dominate before the summer complaints arrive, Lobster rolls and Salmon after.

I love lobster and crab, though crab is a lot if work for too little meat.
Anyone who's never eaten fresh lobster claws gas not eaten lobster. Tail meat is inferior to claw meat. I'll eat pretty much anything from the ocean.
High quality steamers from the Brewster Flats on Cape Cod is the better than lobster and crab.
But the best thing out of the sea is freshly-caught halibut, the undisputed king of all seafood.
Pretty mush any fish is delicious if eaten same day it was caught and you know how to properly cook it- grilled but always rare. Most people overcook fish. Fish is like eggs they both to continue to cook them selves even after you remove from heat. So always remove from heat when they're almost done.

Fresh(MINE caught that day) Cod and Haddock are awesome, Pollock has an Aftertaste, Striper has an aftertaste, flounder is fab, largemouth bass is fab, catfish is awesome.
Trout is gross to me, tried it 3 ways, no thx.
I'm talking FRESH Fish I personally caught THAT DAY.
EDIT: TROUT is weird, even though it's considered a "Clean Water" fish, and Largemouth is caught in some of the nastiest waters, Trout tastes Muddy to me, and largemouth dragged out of mud and crap, doesn't taste muddy at all.
Bluefish needs to have the lateral line to be removed B4 cooking(V CUT- just gouge it out) B4 I will even consider it.

Went to the Nordic Lodge in RI. You can eat all the lobsters you want and all the king crab legs you want. I had both but leaned more towards the crab.

Can't believe this hasn't been posted here.
