BS. Mangini did plenty wrong. Including filming the opposing sidelines during the same game that he turned in the Patriots. Including filming from the sidelines during the previous play-offs.. Yet, the Jets bum chum Goodell decided not to punish them.
Also, I believe that Mangini tried to keep certain things that were Patriots property when he was leaving.

You see the whole Spygate thing and how it related to the Mangini and the Jets was at one time a mini obsession for me. And I still have a hard time when peopl blame Mangini.
I have never seen any evidence that shows that Mangini had anything to do with Spygate. If you have some evidence I would like to see it. I am not saying Mangini wasn't doing the same thing that the Pats and BB got fined for, just that he in my opinion never ratted any one out.
he met somebody in the NFL offices the week of the opener with the Pats(reported by the NY Post)...the same offices where the commissioner has his..and Jetdell was also present that day...who did Ratgini meet with?...the concessions lady?...right after this "meeting with somebody", Ratdell comes out with his (in)famous "decision". Just a co-incidence...just like Ratdell getting his first break in the NFL courtesy of the NY Jets.
and of course there's the question of why, given his association with the NY Jets as an employee, that Jetdell even ruled on this issue...it should have and would have in any other sport, been ruled on by an INDEPENDENT ARBITRATOR, to dissuage any ideas of bias or collusion. The Omissioner ,of course, being the overbearing ,running amok despot he is, made a huge media splash putting himself at ground zero. Why would he do this, knowing he's going to be hated and reviled forever in New England, unless he doesn't care and has feelings of hatred and jealousy going back to his school boy days as a Long Island jock Jet fan, who took all his buddies to all the Jets games in the Meadowlands courtesy of his senator father's season box.
It has always stunk and his subsequent lenient decisions pertaining to both the Rats and the Giants shows a decided bias.
As HBO Sports president Ross Greenburg recently said, "We have our Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Mark Wahlberg in Rex Ryan."
Very difficult to prove. It's certainly not as if Bill Belichick is going to drop his name. He just doesn't operate that way (and that's very admirable imo). But Mangini never came out and said he had nothing to do with it. And the biggest indicator to me is this. Robert and Jonathon Kraft keep a very open relation with past Patriot players and coaches. They will not as much as mention Mangini's name. I heard Jon get asked a question about him on the radio ...The question was have you talked to him recently. Jonathan's response was "next question".
Sometimes you don't need hard evidence to determine someones guilt.
That's about right, they all could fit in him with room to spare.
the Pats and BB brought it upon themselves.
the biggest fine and sanction in league history for ANYTHING? pretty rich minmizing coming from a Jets fan.
of course, kids in my family being assaulted and called cheaters, pushed around, humiliaited, taunted mercilessly and mocked for wearing a Pats shirt/cap to school...that's just a "mole hill" too, eh?
Things went south in a hurry between the Pats and Mangini before he ever got out of Pat land, and Eric was a **** about things (trying to hire Pat coaches, later the tampering thing with Branch), but I still feel he broke no code.
Wow.. You'll make up excuses for just about anything won't you?
1) Mangini was just as guilty of taping from the sidelines as BB was.
2) Mangini was talking to players and coaches who were still under contract to the Patriots while on the Patriots TEAM PLANE about coming with him to his next position.
3) Mangini attempted to steal Patriots property and take it with him when he was leaving.
If you don't feel he broke a code then you are just being purposefully ignorant.

I apologise to the board for taking this thread off topic.
And I would agree I am ignorant about the coaches code.
LT has to run behind a pretty good Jets OL which will help him,the Chargers line was not as talented IMO,I think he will benefit from it although I am not saying 1,000 yards but he should have his share of carries and yards.
The Chargers' line was fine. He ran well behind it in the past, and the other RBs on the roster ran fine behind it too. He's just no good anymore. Which I'm totally fine with: the Jets will give him the ball a fair amount, he'll be unable to get above 3.5 YPC, New York will turn on him in a matter of weeks, he'll sulk his way through the season because he's just classy like that, and Pats fans everywhere will love it.
