The proposed trade of running back Jerome Harrison to Philadelphia was voided because Harrison was found to have a brain tumor.

Jerome Harrison has brain tumor | ProFootballTalk

Without trade, Jerome Harrison doesn't get physical. Without physical, doctors don't find brain tumor. Trade might have saved his life.

Twitter / Adam Schefter: Without trade, Jerome Harr ...

Best of luck to Mr. Harrison. My best wishes for a successful outcome and complete recovery.

Wow - truly incredible story realizing the trade might have saved his life as Schefter says.

Very lucky guy.... in a really, really weird way.

Caught it early, thankfully. Hopefully it's operable, or at least responsive to treatment.

I wish for the best for him, and hope he can beat this and get back on the field.

I didn't think that these trade-physicals were so rigorous. Wow.

Harrison had some help from above for sure.....best of luck to him.

Wow! Best of luck to him and hopefully it is begnin. I have someone close to me who had a brain tumor in the past year and it has been a nightmare although it wouldn't have been nearly as bad if it was caught years ago in a routine exam like Harrison got.

He should count his blessings for real.

I guess the baseline concussion test? maybe caought it. WOW luckly, hopefully he will be OK.

Wow, that trade actually saved his life, i wish him well.

I'm sure he wasn't very happy going from a 5-1 to a 2-4 team. Literally a blessing is disguise for him.

They do a brain CT for a trade physical? That's amazing. You're probably not talking full body CT to see a small brain tumor - something that wouldn't be symptomatic. Wow.

You figure you're making a 2 million dollar investment in a guy. What's a small non-invasive scan?

Very sad news!

Hope he makes a full recovery, and can lead a normal life!

An amazing turn of events, hopefully for the better for Harrison. The world truly does work in mysterious ways.

Some are calling this the greatest trade in nfl history.

Of course many will think not, but what a gracious fail of a physical. Expected to make full recovery.

take it from someone who lost a loved one to a brain tumor he isnot out of the woods by far
I wish him and his family al lthe best
