Don Rickles, the rapid-fire insulting machine who for six decades earned quite a living making fun of people of all creeds and colors and everyone from poor slobs to Frank Sinatra, has died. He was 90.

The legendary comic died Thursday at his home in Los Angeles of kidney failure, publicist Paul Shefrin announced.

We've lost another great, and we may not see another of his style. RIP, you cantankerous old bastard.

Too young to have seen him at his prime, but I do know who he is. For me, I first saw him as De Niro's right hand man in "Casino". RIP.

Also passing away yesterday: Paul O'Neill, founder of Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Aerosmith producer. He was only 61.

I'd missed that one. My prayers will go out to his friends and family, as well.

Absolutely loved this guy. Saw his act at least three or four times. One of my 'hefty' friends saw him outside a hotel in Atlantic City once, ran up to him and said "Hi, Mr. Rickles" The great one looked over at him and replied "You're not here to eat me, are you fat boy?"

Always loved him. RIP

Just a few weeks ago my wife showed me an old picture of Rickles with Mel Brooks and I was thinking how pretty amazing it is that both are still with us at 90 y.o. Sad day but he had a great and memorable life.
