OT: Division Update: Rex Ryan Wired Comedy GOLD

There is nothing good that can come from being mic'd up....nothing.

What about these classics:

Hank Stram: "Sixty-five toss-power trap. It might blow wide open."

Lou Saban: "They're killin' me, Whitey, they're killin' me!"

Vince Lombardi: "What the hell's goin' on out there? Nobody's tacklin', everyone's grabbin'. Grab, grab, grab."

Marv Levy: "Hey Erman, you over-officious jerk!"

Sam Rutigliano: "One time baby, one time. One time."

Finally got to watch it.

Looks like Rex did the 10 yard dash in under 20 seconds on that Jones run.

"oh no.."

right before sanchez chucks a pass to a wide open posluszny. I love it

Future Hall of Fame and September Superbowl winning QB's make that play more often than not. Sanchez came through with flying colors and hit Posluszny between the numbers.

So once they run Fat Wrecks out of town will it be 6 coaches in 10 years?

Nothing good for the person being mic'd. For the rest of us, there's some great comedy.

I'd love to hear BB's thoughts throughout the course of a game, I admit.

Priceless......way to go sexy rexy

It was worth the wait, wasn't it?
Jets, the gift that keeps on giving,
Bringing needed humor to the AFCE race.

I thought the decision to kick from 50 into the wind was curious.

It was interesting to hear his brilliant analysis: "I've got no choice." Well, actually, you can punt and play field position.

Yeah, other than the fact that he doesn't seem to be thinking about anything for the entire clip, that really stood out. 50 yards into the wind? Punt and look for a fumbled catch or pin them deep. That's not just a choice, but a better option.

Who exactly is he talking to? Even the guys within earshot don't seem to be listening. His wishing aloud, rather than thinking ahead, sounds like a fat guy at a sports bar, not a fat head coach in stadium.

AND when he does speak with someone, I assume that's the Special Teams coach, he's indecisive, deferential, and by-the-seat-of-his-considerable-pants.

An accurate assessment.

"SLANTS AND INCUTS!!!!!!! SLANTS AND INCUTS!!!!!!! That's it!!!!! That's the whole game!!!!!!!!!!!".

Priceless!

It obviously hasn't occurred to him that the reason he is allowed to stand there on the side-lines is so that he can, you know ... coach. Look at what's happening in the game, figure out what's behind it and make decisions, that kind of thing. If they want a fat white guy to say "Let's go, baby, let's go!" in an embarrassingly un-hip way they could pick 20,000 of them out of the stands.

Ryan has been a big mouthed buffoon during his short tenure in NY...but...but..

I do kinda like what he showed in that video.

Not saying i'd like my coach to act like that - but he does seem like a positive dude - his players like him.

His O co-ord killed him this game, along with the 'Sanchize'.

How would you like to be the guy at the other end of that headset.....

FOR THE WHOLE GAME ?

Surprisingly, his headset isn't actually connected to anything. He just wanted to wear one because all the cool coaches are wearing them.

Also notice the green on his shirt when he raises his arms. Actually not a part of the shirt design but a rare recurring fungus from Giants Stadium that thrives in hot, moist locations.

And that "Oh no" before the San-grenade throws the last pick...that was actually the realization he drafted a QB who may not be able to handle the wind and cold of New Jersey......in mid-October.

looking back, I think Ryan saying "oh no" was him realizing he has to face Belichick and a 100% Brady later this season..

Tubby Wrecks is a genius. He's actually got a play called "blocked fieldgoal for a touchdown".

This made my morning......

Coach Grimace: Lookie lookie lookie, we should have him (Lee Evans) doubled guys.
Me: You know you're the coach right? You can do something about that.

Lee Evans then proceeds to catch a 37 Yard TD.

Coach Grimace: Great... Great...

Watching that "fake icing" was incredible, it was like watching a train wreck, I was horrified yet I couldn't look away.

Coach Grimace: I'm gonna wait till they line up and then do it right?
Me: Um... you're the coach of an NFL Football team and you don't know when to call a time out? Oh wait, you're the same guy who called that brilliant Timeout in the Baltimore game in '07. never mind.

I wish BB would mic up just so we could see the contract between brilliant and ******ed.

I can't even imagine the details of that contract.

It saddens me that you beat me to it. Who even draws up those contracts? And in what? Crayon?

Great recap.

As to BB it would just be silence, followed by F bombs at refs as he vigorously explains to them how they mis-applied a rule on their call.

Seriously, those all too few fleeting captures of BB, Dante and whomever coaching the players on the sidelines featured in Patriots All Access and other venues are priceless, something I'd fork over serious coin to watch and hear if it were available.
