OT: Colts mess continues

They're better than the Patriots, we're in no position to laugh at anyone right now as of now we're just another suckbag team who sucked and drafted a QB and continue to suck at everything bar the QB.

We're everything the organization used to mock.

Since Brady left we're 31-44 and the Colts are 38-38, they're an irrelevant middler and we're the dregs of the league.
Just because the good times have come to a screeching halt should not and does not change the fact that during what could be called one of the best rivalries in the history of the game, the Patriots won six Super Bowls while the Colts were winning just one. I believe that feat far outweighs the extra 7 Colt victories over the last 4 1/2 years and you know what else I believe, the Colt fans would begrudgingly agree….

Expecting not to be the worst in the league isn't entitlement.

Robert Kraft was the one who used to go on radio and say "we don't want to be the Ravens" after they had an 8-8 season and missed the playoffs, now he has a football team that's 6-20 in their last 26 games.

Taking a 4-13 football team and not having a proper coach or GM search and getting worse at every position except the QB who you got because you were so terrible isn't any kind of rebuild or transition.

It deserves to be criticized and it's been 5 years how long do you want to keep going on about the good old days for?

It used to be that you got a five-year grace at the end of a championship. We had how many championships and contended every single year from 2001 through 2019 at which point they let Brady go. Even afterwards, they got to the Wild Card game in 2021 and finished 10-7.

That's basically a definition of "entitled fan". Wah! I want endless playoffs with no bad years! Just another Veruca Salt.

Who makes these rules? How about trying to at least be a competent organization? Is that too much to ask for or is that whining?

We have a coach that is in over his head, an offensive coordinator who looks as innovative as Matt Patricia did, a DC who looks like he is not cutting it and a GM that's not impressing anybody. And an owner who thought getting rid of BB was going to magically cure all that ills.

That is not getting better, in fact it's proving to be significantly worse. There was no plan other than joy and happiness the Grinch was gone. While ensuring everyone's feelings were handled with the gentleness of which I caress my balls. The players were going to simply play better because they have a "players" coach. Who's playing better?

Wolf said we would develop our own players. Great! Now tell me who has taken the next step and gotten significantly better since last year?

Our WRs are the real life football version of the bad news bears. Can't catch and can't shut the **** up.

Our entire coaching staff looks lost. And the inmates appear to be running the asylum. Being a bad football team with the appearance of a plan moving forward with an innovative young staff that just keeps falling short, but have the players playing hard and just need to learn how to win; and you can see with a few more pieces they could really be something next year, that would be promising. But that is not what we have. Hell our coaches don't even know which way the wind blows...****ing literally!

Hopefully, some of that starts to change tomorrow by Wolf going out and getting some players and assets. While getting rid of some ass hats!

Update: Well that answers that question. Front office working hard this week! Love the "New Crew"....

It's whining. Plain and simple.

This is what a rebuild looks like. So many fans got spoiled by the decades of success that you've forgotten what the rest of the league looks like and the regular experience they have is. Yes, when you've finally fallen from the precipice, you get roughed up on the way down and end up broken at the bottom. Takes years to build back up. Wasn't helped by an organization that hadn't been there in so long that they didn't remember how to do it then they got replaced by a new crew. So it's going to be a bit of a mess for a while. Sensible fans with a bit of perspective are not surprised by this year's team or performance. We're also not panicking into some other undefined move for a "new" management that somehow is magically going to appear to take the franchise back to the promised land. Who are these new people who will right the ship and have us sailing into the playoffs next year? And why on earth would they want to do that with us instead of a franchise in a more promising situation? Bueller?

From my perspective, we have found a promising QB which is the most important thing. We did that unfortunately before we developed a competent offensive line so he's also in a bit of danger of injury and will have to scramble around with sub-par players to throw to, but that's life. Fortunately we're heading for a great set of draft picks for the second year in a row, let's hope we find the beef on the offensive and defensive lines. Then we can start to move towards a return to the playoffs.

Get some perspective.

The Romans are still giddy about their empire too.

Gotta love homerism.
The fans of the 2 win team which is on its 5th or 6th starting QB in the last half decade is mocking the 4 win team.

good for them, they are a fine bunch of reubens, aren't they? is it is really the only winnable game left on our schedule
As messy as they are.. they are still a better team than we are right now. Go figure.

The Romans have every right to still be *giddy*! Almost impossible to be the “toughest kid on the block” for over 500 straight years! ??

Who mentioned playoffs?

I would like signs the people hired at the key positions are competent at their job and capable of a rebuild, the draft looks horrific apart from Maye who everyone sitting at 3 would have taken and the coaching staff looks incompetent.

Right now it looks like a lazy coaching and gm search is going to waste 2 years of Maye's career before a proper clear out is done, not sure what positivity can be taken from sinking your franchise to the bottom of the league.

You have to be historically horrific to pick in the top 3 in back to back years, you forgive any team one of those seasons but when you clearly upgrade the QB position and have no bad contracts on your books and the most cap space in the league you should be beginning to head towards at least respectability, this team is getting worse everywhere outside of quarterback.

The schedule has been easy too, we've lost games to the Jags, Titans and Dolphins who are 3-19 against the rest of the league.

I have not been spoiled by success nor am I oblivious to what happens around the league. Nobody on this forum watches more football that I do, they may watch as much but not more. I am well aware of what the league looks like. And just because some franchises can't figure it out doesn't mean "that's just the way it is". There are plenty of teams that stay even keel and competitive year after year. It starts with the owner, we have an owner who talks the talk but this latest move isn't walking the walk. I have been and still am a Kraft supporter he saved this team from leaving New England. Hired Bill and the rest is history.

I agree it was time for Bill to go but so was it for everyone that was there as well or as you call them the "New Crew" nothing new about them. They are the chicken running around with out its head. Its obvious to any, well I guess "non-sensible" fan. There are many proven GMs and Coaches out there along with up and coming hot shots itching for a chance. Unfortunately for us Mayo was not that hot shot. But to act like a proven experienced GM and innovative coach or experienced coach couldn't come in here next year and lead us to the playoffs or hell maybe could have this year is non-sensical. An experienced GM wouldn't have started with this OL. But I digress. But who are these people you ask? How about Dan Quinn, Jim Harbaugh last year and one of our own Adam Peters for GM? They look fairly competent over there in DC and Los Angeles. I don't think Dimitroff is doing much these days, maybe bring him around....I know if they aren't already in New England then they must suck and be incompetent I get it. How about Vrabel and Mcdaniels? Do you think this team plays like this for Vrabel? I don't. Was the Bueller thing supposed to be funny? Thats some weak ****.

"Fortunately, we are heading for a great set of draft picks for the second year in a row?" I'm a cup half full kind of guy, but as a smart man once said thats not exactly what we are looking for here. And outside of Maye we've done so well with last year's draft picks. (There is hope) but the early returns after pick 3 aren't exactly killing it. So, we expect the same folks that brought us Polk and Baker to do much better next season? Thats your perspective?

My perspective is just fine. Don't need any suggestions about perspective from people that accept losing.

Belichick taking credit for drafting Augustus-Caesar.
Blames Kraft for Nero

I live here in central Indiana, and beleive me, I despise the Colts. Short of players getting injured, the more hardships they face, the better.

I'm sure no JEST fans were gloating after the Patriots' SB losses under Belichick/Brady. . . .

Well...to be fair what else did (do) they have?

Anthony Richardson was never going to be a good NFL QB. They screwed up drafting a 6th rounder in the first round.
Yep. He’s a slightly less physical Joe Milton.

Colts fans are kidding themselves if they think play calling is why Richardson has a 44% completion percentage.
