I'm late to the thread. But I'd like to say RIP Chris Cornell and my thoughts are with his family.

Also, I agree with a lot of people here, I really loved a lot of the music from the 1990's, loved the so called grunge bands, Nirvana being my favorite, but loved Alice In Chains as well as Soundgarden, loved early Pearl Jam. Also a big fan of STP. Loved Sublime as well (another lead singer death).

My favorite Soundgarden songs are Outshined, Fell on Black Days and Blow Up the Outside World.

Man, what has happened to music ? It used to be so great. The only new music I really listen to is new stuff from Green Day and Blink 182.
Big fan of Green Day's material in the 90's. Blink's early stuff from then, too. Right up there with the grunge bands as my favorite music from that decade

Mother Love Bone started grunge and killing yourself.
With Andrew Wood.

You could also make a case for the Pixies starting grunge since that's who bands like Nirvana had a heavy influence from.

We got a purebred dog from a breeder in which the line was named "Dancer".

We (I really) named our dog, "Chloe".

I'll let you figure out the puzzle.

The thing that made Nirvana so f-ing awesome was they were heavily influenced by a number of rock groups. Led Zeppelin, Mudhoney, Melvins, Sid Vicious too..

LZ is and will always be one of the greatest bands of all time.
Not to hijack the thread, but I agree 100%. Overall, might be my favorite band ever. I really have a list of my favorites of the decades. Tough to narrow it down.

1970s) Led Zeppelin
1980s) U2
1990s) Early 90s Nirvana, mid- late 90s Green Day
2000s) Blink 182 (and Green Day)
2010s) nobody. Though I do kinda like a band called Wavves, pretty cool sound reminds me a little of the 1990s.

There is a very obscure Nirvana song that just happens to be my favorite Nirvana song, it's called Aero Zeppelin. But yeah, Nirvana has HUGE punk influences in there music, which happens to be one of my favorite genres as well.

As far as Led Zeppelin, if you listen to the song Communication Breakdown, it has a very punk sound to it, yet it came out 5-6 years before punk exploded.

Pretty damn close to mine.

1) 80s and early 200s U2
2) Pearl Jam
3) Nirvana
4) Led Zep
5) Beatles

2nd tier Soundgarden, STP, Alice, Metallica Pre 1994, Guns N Roses, etc...

Yea those guys, Soundgarden and STP I never saw. Big regrets there. Did see Nirvana and have seen PJ around 9-10 times.

I have seen Hootie and the Blowfish, Michael Bolton and Celine Dion. Don't ask...
Not seeing Nirvana is a huge regret for me, as far as concerts go.

Aero Zeppelin is a GREAT song. There are a ton of hidden gems on "Bleach" and "Incesticide". I was just in Dallas eating shrimp tacos and thought of "Mexican Seafood"

I can spend an entire weekend talking about LZ songs. Its easier to list the ones I don't like and thats on one hand.

When it comes to making out, Kashmir from Side 1 of Led Zeppelin IV is my go-to.

For the sake of not wanting to be that "I was there guy", it was a complete accident I saw them in Springfield, MA in I think the fall of 93. Housemate's brother got 2 tix but had to bail because his wife found out he was cheating on her so he gave them to him and away we went.

I forget who opened for them. I know the Breeders were one band. I forget the other. It was great.

I love Wavves. Most I know haven't really heard of them it seems like. They have a very 90's sound to them, especially the Afraid of Heights album. They would be much more popular had they been around 20 years ago or so.

"Son of a Gun" off the incesticide album is one of my favorite songs from them. A lot of gems off that album.

Wasn't that in Fast Times At Ridgemont High ?

The raining always starts...when you go away.

"Kiss kiss, Molly's Lips!"

That's another good one.

Silver and Aneurysm are others that i'd put on repeat and play 30 times and always hear something different.
