Although I wasn't a huge fan growing up, it was hard to NOT hear their music. I know this will be moved to the Pub, but I figured it was the offseason and it was worth sharing since a lot of you seem to be into music from that era.

Really sad to see. I normally don't mind much when a celebrity passes away however I planned to see audioslave if they ever managed to be free together. I now know I will never see one of my favourite bands ever. I was lucky enough to see Chris Cornell on his solo tour in 2012 he was a fantastic performer. Thoughts with his friends and family.

Tragic. Incredibly talented musician. Soundgarden was the soundtrack for my college years. Caught his solo show live last year and it was incredible. RIP.

Was able to see soundgarden 2014... I was totally blown away. Never was that big into them...but that experience changed my whole outlook on them. Incredibly sad...one of the most phenomenal voices in all of rock all time.

I'm gut punched
Kurt Cobain (Nirvana)
Layne Staley (Alice in Chains)
Scott Weiland (Stone Temple Pilots)
Chris Cornell (Soundgarden)

Only Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam) is left from the top grunge bands.
not forgetting another Seattle hero. James Marshall Hendrix

I really liked their scene in the movie Singles. I think that was my first exposure to them.

This just hit me like a sack of bricks. Can't believe it.

One of my favorite bands growing up. Can't believe it's yet another suicide out of that Seattle scene...

R.I.P. Chris.. Thank you for your music.

Few things are sadder than suicide, for both the passed and those remaining in the land of the living.

May the good Lord bestow His mercy on Chris's dear departed soul, and may His peace give comfort to Chris's loved ones and fans.

Such a great voice. Very sad news.

I see no renovation in Rock music from the big wave of talent that came from the 60s to the 90s, and it stopped there.

Saw them as well with NIN at xfinity center. Awesome concert. One of my favorites. His voice was second only to Freddy Mercury.

Not trying to be a wise guy, since rumor is he hung himself, but this is some good ****.

HaHa...the speakers scene. The look on his face was priceless. He was just a puppy then.
