Wasn't that in Fast Times At Ridgemont High ?

Yes -- I'm assuming they got ahead of themselves by shooting the "Led Zeppelin 4" line before they realized that they couldn't get the rights to actually play it. At least they managed to get another Led Zeppelin tune, but it ended up as a funny glitch in a classic movie.

Crazy thing is, that's my favorite Led Zeppelin song of all time. Now I'll think of Cornell when I hear it. Really is an amazing song though. Led Zep did a concert a few years ago (I'm guessing less than 5 years ago), with John Bonham's son playing drums, and played In My Time Of Dying, and it was spectacular. Saw it on YouTube. Can't believe how great they played it after so many years.
I can respect what they did with Bonham's son on drums a handful of yrs ago, but for me, it's just not the same. Too bad there isn't footage of the song from the mid-70s (not meaning to sound terribly old, I'm in my early 40s).

I'll check it out though. I've got a friend who's always talking about that show.

For the sake of not wanting to be that "I was there guy", it was a complete accident I saw them in Springfield, MA in I think the fall of 93. Housemate's brother got 2 tix but had to bail because his wife found out he was cheating on her so he gave them to him and away we went.

I forget who opened for them. I know the Breeders were one band. I forget the other. It was great.
That's an awesome story. I don't believe they came here to Pittsburgh that year, but they came to Columbus and I couldn't talk any of my friends into going. I still bring it up to them.

When it comes to making out, Kashmir from Side 1 of Led Zeppelin IV is my go-to.
Even though Kashmir is one of their best songs, and Led4 is their best album (and probably the GOAT), Kashmir is on the Physical Graffiti album. Oddly enough, Chris Cornell sang some lyrics from In My Time of Dying, which is also on Physical Graffiti.

We'll never see that kind of era in music ever again. All these great artists and bands concentrated in one city and change the music landscape overnight.
