See, I don't think it's fair to say NFL is a team sport and Baseball is a sport. Both have their own constraints and environment in which they operate. The point of conversation is who is more important to Boston? I will gladly argue that Tom Brady is more important to the Patriots than David Ortiz is to the Red Sox. Now, given that qualification, the Red Sox don't win the 2013 World Series without Ortiz's bat.now you're just trolling.
Didn't the patriots win a afc championship game playing poorly?
nfl is a team sport
baseball is a me sport.
Really, it's silly to argue that one is more important than the other to Boston fans. Red Sox fans will argue Ortiz and Patriots fans will argue Brady. Both are visible center points of their team and both have produced at high levels when it matters most, the post-season. What I find distressing is that people feel the need to put down the accomplishments of the other to enforce the belief that one is superior to the other.
