OT: Bills Fans Are Done with McDermott

Nance was going on and on how McDermott is a defensive mastermind.

Granted Buffalo had injuries, but when has he ever slowed down KC? McDermott could not carry BBs clipboard in the defensive guru department.

BB would pass Schula no problem in Buffalo.

Probably put the win record out of reach for good if BB wanted to coach longer.

Belichick isn't going to Buffalo, because Buffalo is over the cap, with a **** ton of FAs, and a 32.5 million dead cap number for Von Miller.
Does it matter?
I mean, they weren't playing with many of them tonight. As long as they have Allen, that's all that matters. Von Miller can go, Tre White, Dawson Knox, Ryheim Nimes, Ryan Bates, Leonard Floyd. They can get rid of all of these guys and it wouldn't make much difference.

Listening to NFL Radio on Sirius XM driving home after the game tonight, they had more than a few hints towards Bill as the Bills’ HC. One cited a Buffalo precedent, Scotty Bowman.

Bills are just unlucky that their peak ran at the same time as Mahomes. Crazy competition in the afc with Lamar and Burrow to also stand in their way. Bills fans are going to be in for a rude awakening if they move on from McDermott. They are small changes on defense away from putting them over the top. A coaching change would most likely set them back and for that reason, I'm in favor of it lol.

Looking deeper into the cap they could honestly restructure Allen and Diggs deals as well as cut players like Deonte Harty and Nyheim Hines to get to a more favorable cap situation. Keep the offense intact allowing Bill to put more focus on building a younger defense.
They're still over the cap, and have 30 free agents. And restructuring Allen and Diggs is just going to cement that window shut for 2025.
Anyone complaining about the Patriots drafts should look at the Bills the last 3 years. It's bleak. They're done.

Atlanta's 30 million under the cap, with better offensive position players than the Bills have, outside of QB.

There is very little to like about proven losers. ATL is a better fit, as they aren’t expected to be good. BB will overachieve. In BUF, the talk has been winning ever since 2019. It’s nothing but talk.

Josh Allen's track record is a ceiling of 'Divisional Round'. And Von Miller *can't* go, it's 32.5 million to cut him.

Is Sean McDermott todays version of Marv Levy??
A perennial bridesmaid in the 90's...

At least Levy MADE it to the Super Bowl 4 times. McDermott can't get out of the divisional round. That's more Marty Schottenheimer.
I still find it crazy that they fired Marty after a 14-2 season. I couldn't do it after that much winning.

A curse like Buffalos takes a guy like BB to break.

Rex was doomed to fail.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a provision in BBs separation agreement which stated he couldn't coach in the division the following year.

The Pegulas aren’t firing Beane, so no way BB goes there with Beane picking the groceries.

Torrence, Kincaid and Williams were three bright spots from the 2023 draft. They haven‘t drafted as well the last three years and is prior years but the drafts haven’t been bad.

And all BB needs to win is an average QB.

Why?

According to people here the game has passed BB by and it was all Brady.
