His time was overdue anyways and the horrible clock management that's pretty common around the NFL, just gave the Bears a reason to finally cut the cord.

I've really started to pay more attention to covington.. as guys have worsened on defense they look nothing remotely close to a disciplined unit and sound defense. I expect what every team has done.. run and throw on them. Does covington last through the bye if this happens?

I don't think Mayo is getting fired but assuming we were to fire Mayo I'm not sure how we go with another first time HC. I'm also not sure how we go with another Bill Linebacker so Vrabes might be a tough choice. Ditto for Bill guys like McD, BoB, or Flores.

Kliff K would be interesting. What other candidates would there be with previous experience?

When the time comes for Mayo, I don’t think Bob will risk anyone connected to Bill. In fact, they may be waiting to see what Bill does in 2025. It wouldn’t shock me to see Vrabel join forces with Bill as assistant HC/DC. McDaniels will be OC and Patricia coaching something on defense.

I'm still hoping they pull off a win or 2 and buy themselves another year.

I just don't think it's a good thing to have to hit the reset button again. But if they don't give us reason not to we might have no other choice.
