I wonder if Belichick's defying social convention in dating a young woman almost fifty years younger than himself isn't just another aspect of a personality that drove some of the members of this board crazy, i.e., things like drafting Strange in the first round, his string of second round defensive back busts, and him thinking that a defensive coordinator with no offensive experience could magically become a proficient NFL offensive coordinator. I'm curious why he split with Linda. Lindagate? But seriously, folks, Bill always has valued a good tight end, backfield penetration, gap discipline, deft slot play and hitting the hole hard. His ball skills might've declined a bit with age but getting stripped, in this case, is encouraged. Illegal touching? Not a problem. Neither is getting sacked.
