This has gotta hurt in Peyton-Place! Ya gotta read the whole article. He also contrasts the Saints' victory with the Giants' win two years ago, saying yesterday's game was "no fluke" like the game that turned on Tyree's magic helmet catch.

"This just put an end to any remaining debate about the team of the decade in the NFL. It's New England. The Colts had a case to make with a win tonight....But one Super Bowl win in the 2000s merely makes them the Atlanta Braves of the NFL."

Ah, I love the smell of vindication in the morning.

So true.

The 1 ring came mostly from the law of averages giving them huge breaks that years. Avoiding the Chargers, the flu, and getting to face Rex Grossman in the SB. Not taking anything away from that team but they weren't even the best Colts team in recent years. I'll be very happy overall if their whole run ends with just 1 ring.
