It's possible he had multiple interested parties but looking at the depth chart here he felt it was the best opportunity to actually play a big role, and on a 1 year deal that would set him up better financially next year. Signing a 1 year deal to be 3rd on some team's depth chart behind better players likely keeps him in the cycle of 1 year small deals. Playing a bigger role here would, in theory, give him the chance to get a better contract next year.Osbourne was available in free agency and came here on a relatively small contract. If teams didn't want him then, what has he shown this season that makes him think a team is going to trade anything for him?

Now Boutte is *****ing:
Nice to find a sane take after jumping in on Page 17.My guess is that part of his frustration is that he feels young guys are being given a longer leash because the team wants to develop them. That's a tough pill to swallow for a vet player on a 1 year deal. They're going to expect to be given the same opportunity. He probably looks at it like how is Thornton/Boutte/Polk playing over me and questioning if that's actually based on their performance on the field or the team just wanting those guys to play more.
Now Boutte is *****ing:
I have nothing against Osborn. Any NFL player will want to play games. That's normal.Lol the faster we get rid of mid players the better
I have no problem with Boutte's demands in this case. He is producing when targetted. The offensive playcalling has been a bit too conservative and Maye clearly has the arm talent to deliver deep on demand, well as long as he gets 3 seconds of protection. The OL is the Patriots achilles heel right now.Two for two on Deep balls form Maye.
Flag on the playI had a dream last night that the Pats opened the game in 00 personnel and went 5 wide with Booty, KB, Pop, TT, Osborn and completed a 30 yard pass to TT
Ohhh....plot twist the mess was me ****ting myselfFlag on the play
12 men on the field- Offense
Note: Boney T falls on the ball...does not survive the ground... cracks 4 ribs

If we didn’t suck we’d be good?If we were 6-1 we'd hear nothing but accolades... but I'm actually glad that it's going this way.. Mayo's going to become a much better coach because of adversities.
No. Point I was making is Mayo will have learned to become a better coach by actually going through adversity. If he can't then he'll never end up being a good HCIf we didn’t suck we’d be good?
You are happy Mayo is incompetent because that gives more room for improvement?
So if he had immediate success he wouldn’t be good? No. Point I was making is Mayo will have learned to become a better coach by actually going through adversity. If he can't then he'll never end up being a good HC
I'm not saying that.So if he had immediate success he wouldn’t be good?
You are saying he’ll be better for being bad. I don’t agree. If he was a good coach he would already know the things that adversity is supposed to teach him.I'm not saying that.
Josh McDaniels started off 6-1 in 2009 including a win against the Pats and got accolades from the media. Then the wheels fell off because the team's lack of talent showed up. He was so bad in his second stint in LV, they immediately cut the cord with him.If we were 6-1 we'd hear nothing but accolades... but I'm actually glad that it's going this way.. Mayo's going to become a much better coach because of adversities.
I agree on all fronts. Mayo's got the same problem Bill had. No talent on this roster. Now he has a QB so that's huge. Personally I don't have any beliefs that he will win another game this season. But that's just me.Josh McDaniels started off 6-1 in 2009 including a win against the Pats and got accolades from the media. Then the wheels fell off because the team's lack of talent showed up. Same thing happened with Rex Ryan. His teams caught opposing teams off guard for 2 years, but he then fizzled out once teams caught on to his scheme. Him and brother have had the same problem everywhere they've gone.
Mayo needs to pull a Flores with the 2021 Dolphins in order to show Bob he's capable.
