It's easy, and only takes a few moments.I think you’ve nailed it regarding Big Mike, he needs to be on the right side. We’ve definitely seen that in the past where for whatever reason a guy just is much better on the right than on the left. The question is whether he can be on the edge and handle someone really quick rushing on that side. So far what I’ve seen tells me he can handle RT but it would be a worry some weeks, e.g., against Clowney. Long term I wouldn’t be shocked to see them move on from Mason, move Onwenu to his position, and go with a new RT...
Let’s see what develops with Cajuste and Durant, so far it’s a dumpster fire with them for sure but I remember feeling that way about Cannon and he got it together for a few good years.
Regarding Ferentz I would have been shocked if you didn’t bring that up. All I can say is those pictures he must have must really be horrendous.
Ted Karras is so incredibly limited that I can't believe what I'm even reading on this board. It amazes me.
He's immobile, not quick enough, prevents the OL from running the amount of plays it can and should run. He can't pull. This limits the offense and limits the team. It's pretty obvious.
At one point do you drop your hate for certain players and look at what is going on when Karras plays. Watch Karras. He's incredibly limited. Any time he pulls, he whiffs and doesn't get to his block. It's a huge problem.
Karras was our #6 OLman and our #1 backup when the season started... When Trent Brown & His Calf of Renown went Down (likely for the season I fear), then he should've automatically been inserted into the starting lineup, but as BrotherBlues mentioned earlier it appeared like the coaches wanted to see if one of Herron/Durant/Cachoo could handle the RT position...
When it became obvious to everyone that none of them were up to the task, then the switch was made and Onwenu became starting RT and Karras starting LG... and the drop-off from Mongo to the next-best OLman is, let's just call it rather precipitous...
What do you think of, instead of Karras at LG, Wynn at LG and Herron is given an opportunity at LT where he started his last 3 years at Wake Forest?
The last two years of Mason's contract are easier from which to get out if a suitable RT is found who could allow Onwenu to move to RG:

Good question raised by this article.
Moving Mike Onwenu to RT has fixed Patriots O-line; why’d it take so long to happen?

Wow if this is true then fire the OC:
"McDaniels said that the team is still “eager” to have Onwenu excel at guard when they have Trent Brown back at right tackle to play alongside Isaiah Wynn."
Yeah I read that quote too... Onwenu should never, Ever play LEFT Guard ever again... If Trent Brown returns (highly unlikely) and is fit to play, then he should be moved to his 2018-championship position of LT and Wynn/Lose moved inside to LG, his more natural position anyway... Mongo can then return to his best position as #1 backup C/G while Thanksdad Ferentz returns to his best position as... ahhh... errr... ummm...
Brown will anyway never be back and if, its likely to be for 3 snaps and than he goes back to IR....Good question raised by this article.

LT should be top priority in next years draft. The experiment is over and the results were mixed. Some good, some bad with Wynn at LT. Durability was a concern as well as consistenty at the position. At the end of the day I think he’d be a fantastic left guard if he wanted to stay with the team. If he’s expecting left tackle pay? lt’s goodbye.
If Brown comes back healthy and Wynn continues to give up 1-2 plays a game in which Mac gets killed I can see them benching Wynn.
...which is who I said the starting tackles should be back in June.
I just know.how do we know brown will play better than Wynn?
I just know.
