Dude needs a walker to get out past the numbers. So there's that.

But...but...isn't he still better than Lowe?

Still need three starting caliber offensive linemen.

If they go with Strange at center, that's someone without much experience there. FWIW, in his cup of tea at the position to end the year PFF graded him poorly.

Ben Brown started most of last year for us and graded as one of the worst Centers in the league last year.

Jake Andrews, if I recall, looked pretty bad in camp/preseason as a rookie playing center. Late in the regular season he started some games and looked ok... but it was at LG.

That's not an impressive depth chart. This guy has some starting experience there and on the rest of the interior. He's been with some of our coaches before. We bring 90 guys to camp and I doubt he signed the kind of deal that guarantees him a roster spot beyond that.

You do understand that sometimes people get signed to add competition and get cut if the are not good.
Oh I understand, you don’t understand if you sign the best players available iron sharpens iron. Competition will raise the level of play. There’s no good time to sign jags when you don’t have a starting left tackle.

LT: Need
LG: Need/Strange
C: Strange/Need
RG: Onwenu
RT: Moses

My very non professional opinion is they want Strange will start at one of the C or LG spots. I think they want him at C.
Wish they would bring in Risner for LG. I’d Sow or Robinson or Wallace or whomever else we have take to good coaching and beat him out great.
LT is gonna be Campbell. Feel it in my bones…or that could be the supposed tornadic weather that is supposedly heading our way here in southern Illinois.

LT: Campbell Lowe
LG: Risner Sow
C: Strange Schweitzendinger
RG: Onwenu Robinson
RT: Moses Wallace

I understand that iron sharpens iron, but what do you do when there is only semi hardened aluminum available.

And i know we all want Tackle help, but it isn't like we didn't need someone like to to compete for this spot. So i will say not 'boo! not a tackle!' I will boo if we don't sign a decent one before the draft though... cause i don't want a rookie LT. I don't want to be in the position of Hunter or Carter being on the board... and us feeling like we need to pick an OT or risk Maye getting destroyed.
Why didnt you say so??? I will head down to the "Decent Left Tackle Store" and pick a couple up. Just poking fun I get where your coming from, unfortunately all that is out there to be had ( and would probably have to fight other teams for) are some Jags. I don't know if there is currently a decent one to be had. You got a couple names in mind?

There’s good starters still out there, players with upside. An undersized backup just makes fans think the front office is doing something, it doesn’t improve the team.

Do the Patriots have a Tevin Jenkins Allergy?

So no more squad players until we sign a left tackle? Maybe send Vrabes a quick email so he's up to speed.
This is the same exact conversation from last year when they were signing Okorafor, Leverett and Jordan.

I was told everything would work out, these were good signings, not everyone can be an All Pro… wash, rinse, repeat.

This isn’t the answer at IOL it’s depth. Better depth than we currently have.

Just need Tyron Smith and then Rodgers
