Okay - When is it time to Panic???

Hi - It's me JoeSixPack and my time machine visiting from 2004.

It's August 15th. The Sox are 10.5 games behind the Yankees.

I hope no one minds because I'm going to panic and give up on this season. We have no shot of beating the Yankees in the playoffs, let alone winning the World Series.

So we have 3 more weeks of calm before we need to panic ... good I can relax.

Six weeks to panic. Playoff chases don't begin until mid-September at the earliest.

Don't worry guys...Sept. will be here and so will the Patriots and in Oct. it'll be be the Bruins...we are covered for any Red Sox collapse!!

Let me make it clearer - if the Sox are 10.5 games out of first place in mid August, we're perfectly on track to win the World Series as was the case in 2004.
