Bad Decision
Boomer Esiason has normally been respectful of Brady, but made some poor decisions with his comments last week about the Patriots QB.

Current Patriots Twitter Feed:

"Oh right, he played for the Patriots."

I've been a fan of this team since I was 10 in the mid-80s.

From time to time I come across articles or comments that remind me, holy **** Fred Taylor was a member of our team for 2 seasons. Henry Ellard wore the flying Elvis. Fred Smerlas played for us.

Anyone stand out as guys who played briefly at the beginning or end of their careers or whatever who might not rush to memory?

I always thought it was weird that Jim Plunkett played for the Patriots, but that was before my time. I just associate him straight up with Raiders.

Shaun Ellis is kind of a weird one for me, just because I always knew him as A) the guy taken with the draft pick that we traded for Belichick, and B) a Jet. Seau's gotta be up there I think. Fred Taylor too, just because I always associated him with Robert Edwards since they were the same draft class, so watching him do well in the NFL made me all the more bummed out about what happened to Edwards.

There were a lot of guys in that 2009-2011 range, guys like Shaun Springs and Alge Crumpler and Derrick Burgess. The biggest one by far from this era though has gotta be Brian Waters. I'm sure leaguewide everyone remembers him as a Chief, and he was great there, but he did swing by and kick ass for us for a year.

Remember the significant impact that Joey Galloway had on the Patriots?? Neither do I. Played a few games in 2009 only to be cut about half way through that season..

We all remember the memorable time that Reggie Wayne spent with the Patriots.. he said it was "too hard" to play for this team..

In the way back machine there are names like Zeke Mowatt, prefer to forget that part of Pats History..

A number of vets have come here only to fade away in Training Camp..

I honestly thought that this was going to be a thread about Kellen Winslow, who the media has been happy to point out played for NE for a total of 9 days back in 2012.

As most of you know, he just finished his rape trial, which is why he was in the news to begin with.

I continually forgot and still forget at times that Jeremy Hill was on this team last year.

    Vinatieri

I root against all success for any scum sucking bottom feeder Colts player then I remember hey Vinatieri played a key role in kicking off (lol) our dynasty.

Screw him anyway. Til he retires.

He was David Carr before David Carr, no offensive line (pre Hannah and Gray) and running for his life.....
The only 2 time SB QB champ, not in the HOF.......

OT, but also forget that Bledsoe never took the field for the Pats as anything other than a guy in his 20s. Wouldn’t turn 30 until shortly after SB36.

There was a video a couple years ago featuring everyone who caught a TD pass from Brady that, for me, had a few "Really? I'm sure I would have remembered <blank> catching a TD pass for the Patriots" moments. Dedric Ward and Larry Centers were a couple guys who fit that category.
