I really hope the posts talking about how the Colts were trying to lose this game are just sarcastic. Because you are doing yourself no favors in the credibility department otherwise.

Dan Orlovsky just wins football games okay?

ALL HE DOES IS WIN

The Colts still have the #1 pick locked up, ofcourse they can try and win this one. The can piss away the last game and lock up Luck.

So the Colts are still good with this win, in regards to Luck?

Wow, colts win!!

What happens with the "suck for Luck" contest?

I believe they'll still be #1 WHEN they lose next week

No they don't. They may have lost it tonight. They are currently in a three way tie with the Vikes and Rams in the wins column. Depending on how each team's opponents finish the season, the Vikes can get the first overall pick on the strength of victory tiebreaker.

Besides, a couple hours ago, you were claiming that Vinatieri purposely shanked the field goal to lose the game so they can Suck for Luck. Now you are saying that the Colts already locked it up.

What if the Colts beat the Jags next week who have definitely packed it in and the Vikes and Rams lose their last two. The Colts will be the #3 pick.

thanks, The_Riddler and nabwong..

Are you sure about the Vikes winning it via the strength of schedule, where did you see that. The Colts have played much weaker teams this year.

You'd have to laugh if St.Louis ends up with the number 1 pick given their recent investment in Sam Bradford.

Colts still have the #1, worst strength of schedule.

But they may not next week and they are facing a team next week who will be more than happy to sit all their starters next week to make sure that Luck goes to the NFC. The Jags will most likely be trying harder to lose to the Colts next week than the Colts will be trying to lose.

Terrific.

That really helps solidify the Bye.
Now the Pats can lose a game and still hold the Bye, should that occur.
And certainly makes Houston look more beatable.

No, actually, they can't be sure of it; the difference is small enough that they could actually lose and NOT get the #1 pick.

They were discussing it tonight during the broadcast, but I chose not to pay attention to it. I do remember hearing scenarios about the colts not being #1, but like I said, I wasn't paying much attention.

It was on PFT earlier this week. And again, the Colts are going to play the Jags next week who will be "sucking for Lucks to go anywhere but the Colts".
I think the Colts may have peissed away Luck tonight.

so..which game will the Pats lose? the next one at home?..or the one after that at home?

Again, how can anyone argue the Colts were trying to lose this game?

You kidding me? The only reason they scored the final TD was because they were handed ridiculous penalties in the red zone by the refs reviving that drive at least three times. Let's recall the missed field goal, blatantly obvious offensive pass interference that went uncalled, etc. Honestly to me it looked like the Colts did more than enough to lose but the refs weren't going to let them blow it. I'm not saying that all of the players wanted to lose, obviously Orlovsky, Wayne, Peyton etc are beyond excited, but I bet Polian isn't going to sleep tonight.

The only tiebreakers that can be used for draft order when teams from different conferences are involved are head-to-head (which doesn't apply) and strength of schedule, not strength of victory.
