Robinson was no slouch either. Are you kidding?
London was fantastic.
Warrior.
Pitts has been a disappointment except for his rookie season.

Gonzo said himself they were in zone and trying to mix coverage.. whenever they were in zone Penix saw that and took advantage.. the great ty law feels as though the DBs are being asked to play too far off and it's to easy for QBs to complete those passes.. same things with Gabriel last week.. it's not our players is the coverage at times. Zone coverage is to easy for a QB in today's game.the London vs. Jones matchup was a failure of Kuhr / DB coach to recognize and make adjustment. Or even prepare to not have that coverage - especially in the red zone. They should have kept Gonzo on him the whole game despite coverage call.
I'm sure they'll fix that going forward. Thankfully we don't face Evans. But I'd love to see Gonzo on Egbuka all day.
Is there any chance Judon could help?
He would be dirt cheap, and “coming home” might be enough to motivate him for the stretch run.
Even though I laughed wouldn't be opposed to judon.. he's a shell of the player he was but still serviceable.. the issue we have is outside of Chaisson and Landry.. guys like Ponder aren't giving us anything at edge rusher..Are you kidding?

"Kyle Williams who looks lost out there... "
Can/will this change? As he is a rookie of course..but if Boutte is sidelined for any amount of time K. Williams is the guy outside the numbers that has the speed and skill set to have an impact. I've noticed every target to him the past few games is incomplete.
On superbowl level performance. If you go back to teams who made the superbowl lately use KC for example.. they were winning games by the skin or their teeth last season.. no one would say they played superbowl winning ball for large parts of last year.. 2018.. were weren't playing in comparison to past patiots teams superbowl ball that season.. but we made it to one.
To me it's going to come down to survival of the fittest the way the AFC is wide open this season.
It’s a shame those opponents don’t just let us do what we want.the London vs. Jones matchup was a failure of Kuhr / DB coach to recognize and make adjustment. Or even prepare to not have that coverage - especially in the red zone. They should have kept Gonzo on him the whole game despite coverage call.

Agreed here. The NFL is a league where teams can go from worst to first in no time.. the rebuilding aspect isn't a long as it used to be.. as we all know it's centered around the QB... a team like Washington who's regression from last season is apparent. Unfortunately Daniels has been injured but they haven't looked anything like they did last season.Good question. I'm not giving up on him, but am saying he's not getting it done right now.
That's fair. In other contexts this is said to be having a puncher's chance. Searching back through the thread the point being debated was "SB is out of the question first rebuild year" which IMO is too pessimistic so I should not have been as pessimistic in response. As the GOAT coach taught us, once you're in the tourney anything can happen. Or as the hopefully next GOAT coach is saying, embrace the joy!
WTF is hero ball that is the stupidiest attempt into a player.Did he not try to heroball and drop the ball?
You can't even say what happened? He played a B- game and they still won. He's a kid. He's going to make mistakes and learn from them.
I've seen zero people 'ripping' on him. But you can hang out in toxic positivity land if that's your happy place on your spectrum.
I was too young to watch football at that point.Maye is an mvp candidate. The defense is top 5 in points allowed.
What teams do you think are SB ready. Did you think the 2001 patriots were SB ready at 5-4?
I’ll trust the scoreboard over your negativity and fear of success.
Good god no thanks
You make some very good points Pats.we do need more at the kr position. I hope im proven wrong at some point but i see no upside with chism back there. I think they should try more with Henderson as the lone returner until it bites them. He hasn’t broken one yet but at least we know he has the potential too. Chisms ceiling is the 35. If you hafta put 2 back why not try williams, put the ball in his hands somehow.
Ol needs a bounce back next week. Boutte’s injury hurt and drake wasn’t very good after the fumble but I think the ol was our main issue yesterday . Pop was wide open on one of the last drives downfield but maye couldn’t step into the throw and he missed him. A clean pocket there and we probably ice the game early. Couldn’t run worth a damn either in half 2 when we should’ve been able to dominate, atl has a poor run d and they had to be exhausted at that point. Need a much better outing next week.
Aint gonna sweat it too much though, we’re still growing and learning its all good. Take a look around the league. Gb lost at home to Carolina. Indy and especially jones looked awful in Pittsburgh. Detroit lost at home to Minnesota who hasn’t been good either. Denver would have lost to a bad Houston team if stroud didn’t go out early. This same falcons team that made drake look human for the 2nd half totally dominated josh allen a few weeks ago. Mahomes and kc had a terrible game . We’re in very good shape here especially if we can add some edge depth/contribution before the deadline.
Huh? They would be like all of the other 31 teams that don’t win it all.I was too young to watch football at that point.
If the Patriots go all in and don't win, what then?
You missed a really good era. That was when the NFL was still fun to watch. Lots of good teams who actually had identities. With that said, the AFC was still in transition from the late 90's and it was up for grabs. Jaguars were supposed to take over, but they completely imploded in the 1999 AFCCG and never recovered. AFC was weak in 2000 with the Titans being the clear favorites, but their kryptonite was the Ravens who had a hangover in 2001. Steelers looked like the favorites in the AFC with the Raiders being another possibility.I was too young to watch football at that point.
They can't hoard the cap space, so they have to some moves. I expect a big move tomorrow or in the off-season.If the Patriots go all in and don't win, what then?
I'm with Phil Perry, go get Rashid Shaheed. He has speed, good deep ball guy.... and he's on my fantasy team.
I think folks recognized that he is special. Not sure people are critical just to be negative. It appears they are pointing out things that can make him unstoppable, durable and safer.WTF is hero ball that is the stupidiest attempt into a player.
They win because of him. They lose with an average qb.
He gets ripped for everything that isn’t perfect.
We have win 6 in a row mostly because of him carrying the team and some posters only want to talk about criticizing him. It’s stupid.
My thoughts are that I hadn't notice that Landry and Chaisson are no longer on the team.Probably safe to say Boutte will be out Sunday huge blow to the offense. Williams is starting become frustrating.. he does nothing of impact when he's in the field. We can call ourselves contenders this season. I also believe the reason why we place so much zone is Vrabel doesn't fully trust the safety play.
Barmore and Williams are beast. But need some edge pressure to take a load of them.
Your thoughts?
I admire the faith in WR's Williams and ChismI think it was Diggs who said, "we will go as far as Drake Maye takes us."
Barring injuries the rest of the team will hold up if they make a run.
I'm fine with Judon active instead of Ponder.Even though I laughed wouldn't be opposed to judon.. he's a shell of the player he was but still serviceable.. the issue we have is outside of Chaisson and Landry.. guys like Ponder aren't giving us anything at edge rusher..
Would be nice to have the DC we actually hired rather than another defensive coach being forced to step up.the London vs. Jones matchup was a failure of Kuhr / DB coach to recognize and make adjustment. Or even prepare to not have that coverage - especially in the red zone. They should have kept Gonzo on him the whole game despite coverage call.
