THIS IS OUR LIVE GAME DAY THREAD:

This is where we gather to follow things on Game Day. Obviously, emotions tend to be high so if anyone gets a little crazy, the use of the “Mute” button is encouraged on anyone who may be annoying to you to control your experience and to allow the moderators to also enjoy the game.

At the same time, please take a deep breath before over-reacting for the sake of making this a pleasant experience for everyone.

Lastly, we have never allowed promoting the use of any illegal streaming. This is illegal and will be enforced by copyright holders, which puts this site at risk. DO NOT POST ANY LINKS to those platforms.

This also means, there absolutely cannot be any mention these platforms, spaces, special characters, etc. - so do not get creative in trying to work around this request.

If you do you will have your account suspended.

I do not have the means to deal with legal issues and have already been contacted previously, so this absolutely needs to be adhered to. If you see any illegal links, please report them so a mod can remove them.

This is the kind of thing Cam just doesn't do. Mac still is doing rookie things, but his upside is higher than Cam. Mac's ability to adjust is more worrying to a defense than whatever Cam may add to the running game.
One thing I noticed is that Cam didn't have a single rush attempt in the preseason. I wonder if we're gonna see a lot of that Week1 (assuming he even starts).

It WAS a good draft class. Revamped with Eliot Wolf, Groh, Patricia in the front office. 2013-2019 drafts objectively sucked with the 3 roommates from John Carroll university. We'll see if too much damage occurred for too long to spring back this season.

.
Yea but you are a huge fan of Josh.

Do they need to play this 'who has my back' commercial on every commercial break? Are they worried we won't know when football season starts? Like we watch the NFL network without knowing that information?
I said the same thing to my wife - I know it's the NFL Network and the NFL itself is a primary sponsor, but you don't have ANY other advertisers? Coke? Bud? Doritos? None of them want to advertise on your station?????? Pretty sad.

That pass was not great, Meyers had to slow down to come back to the ball. Which gave the defender a shot at it
It was a bad decision and a bad pass, especially since he had a guy wide open up top. It was a seam route and he was not open and he under threw it with a linebacker right there. This not his fault is false, that is very much his fault. Seam routes cannot be underthrown and when they are covered like that, you dont throw it.

Agreed, I'm going to puke if I see Cam for more than 4 games this year

All I know is cam Newton still looks like cam from last year. Throwing balls into the ground in front of receivers

Mac Jones will be starting at some point this season

Do you believe that to be the truth?
Nope. But I find it interesting that he is leaving it out there like that to the public. Early on this offseason he went out of his way to say Cam was the starter. Presenting it this way after being so adamant earlier is interesting. Credit to Mac for making this a competition even if Cam gets the opening day start.

Did Nordin fix himself ?
RobertWeathers called it earlier with his sand wedge comment - he adjusted his foot angle as his kicks are much higher now than previously. I would ASSUME (I aint a kicker so I don't know) that it would impact distance, but improve accuracy to do that (less lateral movement especially in non-windy conditions)

Tbh I liked what I saw from Zuber tonight, Wilkerson looks fine too. I don't think either of them makes the "day 1" 53 though. Harry will go to IR and both of those guys will go to the PS and probably take turns doing the "temporary elevation" tango on game day as a continuing evaluation. I'd go with Zuber, but I have Binkie Bias.
I have no doubts Wilkerson makes the final 53 (day 1).

Gotta square the clubface and hit down. PK foot shoe angle is 58 degree.

Golf inside 60yds and PK is no different

That’s not what he said, this is. And when asked when he would decide who the starter is he said he doesn’t know yet.

"Well, I think the fact Cam started last year and he's here, somebody is going to have to play better than him," Belichick said Monday, via WEEI.com. "We're not going to take a job and say, 'OK, here, this is gift-wrapped for somebody.' But, training camp is all about competition. There's an element of who the starter is, but there's also the competition and in the end the competition is going to decide how things go in any given year. I think everybody on the team is really in the same boat. It's no different. The players' name really doesn't matter. Whatever you did last year, is, OK, great — whether it was good, wasn't so good. This is a new year. This is a new opportunity and each one of us has to establish our level of performance this year, no matter what position you play — head coach, position coach, offensive player, defensive player, whatever it is. And then what that role becomes is what we show we're capable of doing.
"All the players that are here are being evaluated. They all have an opportunity to excel, or other players may perform better than them. We'll just have to see how that goes. I can't control any of that. We're certainly not just going to hand out roles to players until they earn them and whether somebody earns that role or not is dependent upon their performance. Their consistent performance, not over a couple of plays, or a really short window. It's the consistent performance. That's what training camp is for. Really all of the players, it's the same for all of them."
