I disagree.....there will be way more value in the reps moving forward vs reps tonight.... joint practice reps vs the eagles for example
Let the OL solidify a little.....let the WRs get more live reps.....it's clear he's not the projected starter in week one, which we knew, so don't **** it up by throwing too much at him too soon.....this franchise already ****ed up the development of one young QB, I'm ok with the slow play
I agree as far as not rushing to start him in regular season for those reasons. But, my initial point was for him to be QB2 who could come in if there is a JB injury, he needs reps of just running the offense. They don't need to be quality reps, they don't need to be exotic, he doesn't need to make a bunch of throws. He just needs to learn literally how to run the offense. I may have been a bit reactionary because he will likely still get them in joint practice and remainder of preseason.
Baker probably could have had that second-down pass. Need a cleaner route, too, if he wants to talk about making us stand up and take note. Too telegraphed, too linear -- needs to make the cut sharper and come back a little bit more.
