I'm conflicted.
1st wife rooting for TFB and the Bucs while I'm rooting for the Pats. 50+ years relationship could be down the tubes as we watch the game.
If the Pats beat TFB I will need to find female companionship elsewhere.

Honestly guys, I think Gilette is going to be rocking for Brady with chants of "Brady" most of the game. He is a legend and the best to ever do it. The Boston fans are going to show their gratitude tonight.

Either that or the Bradytes and Team Bill fans go at it in an all out rumble. Kraft getting on the loud speakers slurring "We are all Patriots!!!"

The guy has played CB in the NFL for 10 years. Much of this is muscle memory. Of course he won’t be an elite player out and probably not even average. But the Bucs are looking for minimal competence right now.

Would love this to be a game where Harry shows he can play.
He has to have a grudge against Tom.
Brady hated Harry publicly roasted him without calling him out by name. Freezed him out on the field.
Belichick has to know that beating Tom in this game would quiet all the noise for the next 10 years.
I'm hoping we see Bill run some defense from some division 3 college game that catches Tom off guard and causes him to throw multiple picks.


I badly want the game to end one of 2 ways a Mccourty INT or a Harry game winning TD with mere seconds on the clock.
What I don't want is for Tom to be down by 4 to 6 points and with a minute or close to on the clock go down the field for a Gronk game winning TD.

One thought at a time.
- I'm just wild about Harry coming to life. We've been patient.
- If Harry has a grudge against Tom then he's wrong. Pushing hard is what has worked for him with his receivers for two decades.
- We have no idea what Brady hates or likes. If he freezes out players it may be because he doesn't trust them.
- Bill is not going to catch Tom by winning one early season game. Tom has a big lead.
- We agree that we'd like to see Bill bring out a defense that fools Tom. A Pats win here would be HUGE for the T-E-A-M.

As for how the game ends, I'm hoping for a great Pats win and no injuries.

Neither of them are close to Gronk in talent.

It's funny how much the perception has changed with Gronk. We all thought he was physically done when he retired but he looks great so far. I'm sorry to see him get injured but I'm thrilled that he isn't playing tonight. He's a load and a half in all aspects of the offense.

Patriots may very well lose. But I think this game is going to be close. Like a 28-25 type score either way.

Apparently Brady is treating this like a SB. According to beat reporters. What's the one constant in Tom Brady SB games? He usually starts slow. I could see his emotions getting the best of him.

Brady may start slow but he usually finishes fast. Very fast. We'll need him to start slow and finish slow.

Tampa is a SB ready team, deep as can be at the skill positions. teams like the Chiefs and the Rams and the Bills can beat them...this Pats team? Any team with a rookie QB when Tampa really wants the game?

I did joke earlier that they're saving all the good stuff for this game (hence a dearth of end zone attempts). I think the last 3 games were the preseason as far as BB is concerned. The fact that he talked about RBs blocking is part of the con, I think.

If I thought that Bill treated the other games as preseason so that he could open it up for this game I'd be bullsh!t. Luckily, I don't think that he did that.

i wouldnt use 2020 Richard Sherman stats in a vacuum as an indicator. He actually played fairly well against everyone (Kirk, Amari Cooper, Robert Woods) except Diggs who roasted him. Sherman never should have been on Diggs as he runs a bit deeper routes and thats not Sherman's strengths anymore (nor ever). Also as someone noted to exploit Mac needs to throw deeper passes (15yd+) to exploit Sherman. We want Agholor to be covered by Sherman ideally

Other reason to go after Sherman is he's post injury but 2020 stats in a vacuum/one bad game vs diggs is not a good indicator

I wasn't surprised Sherman will start but I think it's a mistake to go after him. This is the #1 ball hawk in the nfl over the last 10 years. Guy is very smart. Just go after the other Bucs DBs or try to run it.

Still very concerned the Pats OLine only provides 1.5 seconds of "protection"

This is the wrong team to try attacking run-first. Throw on them and they can be beat. 4 YPA won’t cut it against the Bucs or most other teams in the league.
