The Saints might win 7-8 games this year. Winston is not close to a good QB.
I disagree. I think they’re a playoff team. Brees was a huge loss, yes, but they were 8-1 without him in the past two years. They’ve got a solid team.

Two stats I heard on the radio today that play in the Pats' favor tomorrow night obviously with the caveat that it is only three games worth of stats.
  • The Pats lead the league in QB pressures up the middle
  • The Bucs' pass defense is on track to be statistically the worst pass defense in NFL history and they are giving up 100 YPG than the worst pass defense last year.
Again, it is only three games. So these stats will likely change over the course of the season. But if they hold true tomorrow night, the Pats have a chance of winning.

The Pats haven't played a real QB yet so I don't trust their pass D stats at all.

Conversely the Bucs have played what are probably 2 of the top 5 pass offenses in the league. They are undoubtedly worse than last year due to the injuries in the secondary but the Pats offense has been DOA for 3 weeks.

The Pats' offense hasn't been DOA. Their red zone offense has been DOA. They have actually been fairly effective moving the ball between the 20s and then get way too conservative in the red zone whether it is on McDaniels, Belichick, or Jones. If they get a little more aggressive in the red zone, they could possibly be a fairly good offense.

But as bad as the Jets and Dolphins are, their defenses and the Saints' defense have been performing decently to great. The Saints have a top 5-10 defense right now. The Jets and Dolphins have average defenses. All are significantly better than the Bucs. Plus the Bucs didn't play well against the Falcons either.

And the pass rush is the pass rush. QB pressures are not based on the quality of the QB necessarily. The outcome of the play where there could be the result of the quality of the QB. But if the Pats are consistently getting pressure up the middle game after game, that isn't going to change because they are playing Brady over Zach Wilson unless the Pats change their defensive strategy itself.

Figured... I was like hold on, 600+ yards offense per game, maybe I'm going too hard on them...

Would love this to be a game where Harry shows he can play.
He has to have a grudge against Tom.
Brady hated Harry publicly roasted him without calling him out by name. Freezed him out on the field.
Belichick has to know that beating Tom in this game would quiet all the noise for the next 10 years.
I'm hoping we see Bill run some defense from some division 3 college game that catches Tom off guard and causes him to throw multiple picks.

I badly want the game to end one of 2 ways a Mccourty INT or a Harry game winning TD with mere seconds on the clock.
What I don't want is for Tom to be down by 4 to 6 points and with a minute or close to on the clock go down the field for a Gronk game winning TD.

That's all nice, it just seems hilariously unlikely. This team blows assignments in its base D, I don't trust it trying to run anything "clever."

They might be there in November but probably not week 4.

Even better would be Pats down and Harry catching a game winning TD from Stidham.

Then I woke up.
