I still don't think Lucien makes it, but he is making a late case for himself.
Even though he's going up against bums, Brisket is having a pretty good night
I would rather him over some of those players on D.
Agree. He's doneIt'll be a minor miracle if it's not a torn ACL. It looked like that's what they diagnosed on the field, and false positives are pretty rare.
Eh, I just don't see what he does well enough to move the needle against pro-caliber defenders. He reminds me of Chris Harper: good enough to flash against the 60th-90th guys on a pre-cutdown roster, good enough to stick on someone's practice squad, but the second you put him in an NFL game you find that he doesn't do any one thing well enough to consistently win matchups.
If it's down to him or Austin Carr, give me Carr without a second thought. Carr doesn't do as many things as well as Lucien does, but the things he does well he does well enough that I think he has a chance to win matchups more reliably against better defenders.
It's a general principle that I think translates across all sports to varying extents. It's better to do one thing exceptionally well by pro standards than do a bunch of things pretty well by level-below-pro standards. If you're elite at one thing, there's a role for you at the highest level.
On Brissett's running TD, Lucien had his guy beat running across the back of the end zone.Ok time to admit Lucien has the most potential out of any WRs playing today. He's gotten better separation on man coverage than any receiver today
Foxboro FluI think Lucien got hurt.
