Lucien not separating himself though.

That is my main issue with Lucien. I haven't seen him display the athleticism to get separation from NFL-quality corners. He's good enough to beat practice squad talent, but I dunno if he's superior by a margin that translates to performance anything against real NFL talent. Carr has the agility and hands to potentially carve out a specific role if his route running is precise enough. Lucien, OTOH, I'm not sure what he is as an NFL WR. I dunno if there's any one thing he does well enough to be better than replacement level.

As guys like Edelman and Amendola demonstrate, if you do one thing really well, that's better than doing a bunch of thing just well enough to make you a replacement-level player.
