Mac sucks and we probably deserved to lose but that deep throw to Parker was PERFECT. His throws are so much better when he steps into them.

What shocked me most was how easily Crosby went by Lowe throughout the game like he wasn't even there sometimes. No one is that good. It takes more time and effort to push a kid/senior citizen to the ground than it would take Crosby to go around Lowe some snaps. Cut block the dude or even hold him for a second etc. Just pathetic.

We have high standards in New England now. MID at best isn't gonna cut it. We have playoff aspirations here! I'm all in for finding a top tier QB1 in the draft. Who here is really against that? Who here just wants to "run it back" with Mac Jones as our QB1 in 2024?
I'm just being realistic. I have higher hopes also, but - and I've also said this repeatedly - mid is what we're in for because great/elite is going to be hard to come by unless we get lucky again.

We're in for a tough run, which is the point I'm trying to make. People also keep acting like it's going to be so easy to go out and plug in another guy who will get better results behind this offensive line and with this group of receivers. I don't feel overly confident about that.

At the same time, none of that will matter if they don't add talent, or truly fix the mess they have along the offensive line, and maybe even bite the bullet and bring in a couple of quality receivers. Because what they have isn't conducive to any quarterback succeeding right now.

I am thinking the silver lining is we could be off any pressure to get into postseason and start playing the best football from next week .

Get off Parker and JuJu and roll the dice with reagor and Thornton, Bourne, Boutte and Douglas.

And can we get quick passes assuming nobody is blocking . 1 second dump offs or screens.

Slowly that will reduce pass rush and make the offensive line better. Bob was doing that in first game. Dink, dunk and ocassional runs .

That throw to Parker was a beauty. 40+ yards, dropped in between two defenders. Wilson does not make that throw.
It never comes down to just 1 play or 1 bad call.

Its Parkers fault this week.
I am out on Mac these days, but Mac has his moments.
Youre still in and supporting your boy.

Might as well go down with the ship.
I agree Wildon makes some good throws too.
Wilson made throws vs the Eagles that Corky could not pull off. Some were called back because of BS penalties.
Both QBs are mentally deficient but getting better.
Keep Corky in there so the Pats pick tops in the draft.

The problem with the line is health. Lowe is a liability against a good pass rush, but he's the third or fourth option at RT behind Anderson, Reiff, and maybe Sow, but the first two are injured and the last is a rookie being swapped in and out of a guard spot. Onwenu and Strange, our two solid guards, are banged up and playing like it when they're in. Mafi and Sow, two rookies, are being plugged in. There's no continuity and it's hard for them to get better when it's pretty much a triage unit out there.

At this point, we're not brining in a solid piece for the line through a trade. And at 1-5, what's the point?

As for the WRs, there aren't a lot of better options for trade now, either. Jeudy has a big "buyer beware" sign on him. The Bengals are probably holding onto Tee Higgins to help them try to make something of their season.

These are things that are going to make it a really long, painful season, and unfortunately, they have to be fixed during the offseason.

Oh, 100% agree and I absolutely don't expect any in-season moves. And the guard positions I'm not overly concerned about because, as you said, injuries and such are the biggest issue there right now and there's at least light at the end of that tunnel.

But they need two new quality tackles. Anderson and Reiff were at best backups to begin with, and obviously it remains to be seen if the move with Sow is going to pan out albeit, it would be great if it did. And if they go to the well again with Brown, that would be extremely unwise.

Any moves for a receiver also wouldn't come until the offseason because I expect them to be sellers ahead of the trade deadline, especially since the odds are pretty good they'll be 1-7 or - should a miracle occur - 2-6. They don't have enough to warrant any additions midseason.

Kraft needs to find a new Parcels - someone who will come in with a fire axe and chop out the can'ts and won'ts, ditch the bad contracts, fill the team with youth levened with hard playing vets. Scouting and personnel dept. generally needs to be totally replaced.

Who is out there to be that Parcels? I don't know.

Boutte should show these two plays to Troy Brown this week and ask if the depth chart can be reconsidered.

So GM BB extends a guy who has no chemistry with his QB. How many of us did this after his extension?? BB deserves everything he's getting I hope Miami drops 80 on us. Time to move on BB it's a shame it's going end so $hity here for him.

Now we know why Miami had no problem trading him within their own division. Year two and he can't get on the same page with Mac.

They would win the Super Bowl with your boy zappy smurf no doubt about it. I mean did you SEE his throw in the combine? Wow!

I think Troy Brown himself would be an upgrade at this point...
