Wonderful video!

THAT is how you do motivational communication.

There are lots of different ways to coach and to lead, but, if you're going to do it Mike Ditka, Dan Campbell, Bill Parcells-style, that is the way to do it. He's a dominant personality, but he makes everyone feel that he is relating to them to as individuals and is desperate for them to succeed. Giving a ball to the kicker ... perfect!

It's Vrabel's team now.

EDIT: I also loved the way he more or less cut Kraft off when Kraft wanted to make a speech and give him a game ball. Vrabel wanted this to be all about the players (and the assistant coaches).

Meh. They hate their coach. Clearly.

I believe he had a fumble against the Raiders, IIRC…

"Turnover Worthy Play" doesn't necessarily mean a turnover. It means a play where the QB blew it and it should've been a turnover due to that. A clean throw that hits the WR's hands but the WR fails to catch and it then bounces into the hands of a defender is an "INT" but is not a "Turnover Worthy Play" because the QB didn't do anything wrong. On the other side of that coin, a terrible pass that hits a defender right in the hands but is dropped is an "incomplete pass" but probably is a "Turnover Worthy Play".

Just listened to Bedard's two post-game podcasts and my takeaways were:

1) The offense was better largely because Josh is a "game plan" OC and he had tape from last year from MIA with Weaver still as DC so he knew what to call much better than facing LV, where you really didn't know what would be called because there was an all-new staff with Pete Carrol's influence a TBD.

2) He felt the defense was poor, didn't understand why we were in man so much, crapped on Spallane a lot, didn't think getting Gonzo back would make much of a difference if we still tried to play man with lots of guys on the field not good enough to play that scheme.

3) Pointed out that Henderson's playing time got cut because his poor play in pass protection and his three holding penalties. Pretty much any rookie is going to get sat down after their three holding penalties.

That was everything you could have asked for from Maye. Only caveat is I think Miamis defense could be historically terrible

this is the pic of the year. We were laughing so hard. gotta love our guy! thanks for sharing.
Its not photoshopped either.

Vrabel was actually keeping up with Gibson down the sideline.

After Kraft gave Coach Vrabel a game ball MV to his team he thanked Kraft but then immediately told the team that it's not about him it's always and forever about the players and they know that.

Love it. Players matter a lot more than coach. Always have always will.

"It's a player's game" - Bill Belichick

The other thing I have seen from that Stevenson catch, is that Boutte was being doubled at least on that play. So my guess this is why he didn't get much, Miami took him out of the game for the most part.
Stevenson has always had really good hands. His low water mark is a 74% catch rate which is money in the bank.

I never got why the Pats never threw to him that much except for his 88 targets in 2022.

The media is so lazy when it comes to man vs zone coverage. They always complain one way or the other. I also think we played a lot more zone than man yesterday. Bedard sucks.

This is not only completely true (They did play a lot of zone, more than usual, and were burned because of missed tackles (Spillane/Elliss) and poor positioning (Austin) as much as anything else), but it's also true that Bedard has become a Hot Take Hack, as opposed to the deliberative, thoughtful stats guy he used to be 20 years ago. Some people still remember that guy, and he still gets a pass from some because of it. But he is no longer that guy. Just like Phil Perry is no longer the 'reasonable' beat reporter guy.

Can we stop the playoff crap? We are in year 1 of another rebuild after having one of the worst rosters in the league. The season is not alive or dead. We are just building a new team and identity week be week. Yes, this team should be this bad without Gonzo. Hill and Waddle are no jokes and Achane is very good. Tua stinks. We already know our safeties are bad. Diggs does not need to be better. The dude suffered a brutal injury and has made it back in record time. He is on a pitch count and they are easing him in. He played 31 snaps today and 39 last week. This is all by design.
This team will make the playoffs

Pop needs to be Inactive he's a joke.
He played 15 snaps and caught a pass. Thats better than Hollins, for his entire career

Bedard gets no pass from me, he’s a turd.
He needs to update his stupid pic too, that was 10 years and 20 lbs ago!
Perry is teetering on the edge of credibility right now.
