They can add a C or LG. Did they put Wilson at LG because a) they had no better option and b) he needs more experience calling out blocking assignments or is the move to LG permanent?
I think they put him at LG because he is currently a better G than C in the NFL, and Bradbury is currently better than him at C. It also provides the side effect of making it an easier transition for him to the big leagues.

They will tackle 2026 when it comes, they can afford to be flexible. If lots of G depth becomes available then they can re-visit Wilson at C. If they snag a solid starting C in the draft instead, they may want to just leave Wilson at LG if he continues to look good.

If I was a betting man, I'd lean towards him staying at LG at least another year, because Onwenu's gonna need replacing and they won't wanna have a new LG, C, and RG (and maybe even RT) all in the same season. Rough. Keeping Wilson and Bradbury where they are for 2 years helps them and helps Maye too.

Can we write Pop off after 3 games?
Yes: Two weeks in a row and Chism outplayed him both times: one with him being Inactive. We can't make excuses for Pop anymore.

Agree, I was about to post pointing out they may’ve already drafted their center in Wilson.

So they’re really in a good position going into the draft. They can draft either C or LG. Plus they’ve got Bryant as RT in waiting. We also don’t have any idea how Wallace is developing behind the scenes as a guard, but the OL coaches know. Going into next season it’s looking like the two OL needs will be the LG/C choice, and RG. Hopefully everybody stays healthy this season and we’ve got a good foundation to finish building the line next year.
The Pats could draft a LT and move Campbell to LG and Wilson to Center, but I think they will keep Campbell and Wilson where they are and draft a large strong Center.

I thought just a bit long. Like six inches. Rham did a great job of grabbing it but had to stretch. Thankfully not enough to affect his run after catch, but the GOAT would’ve dropped it in right on his hands not out on the fingertips. Definitely one of the best we’ve seen from Maye. He’ll show us a lot more of those before he’s done.
Gronk had a big radius and made it seem like it was perfect. The kid getting better, that's why people who catch passes uses the jugs machine. B.T.W, watch Drake pocket movement, great improvements. Got learn to be a NFL Jedi. 22 years old..

I just finished the game, I was busy at game time. That was entertaining AF.

Too many flags, gotta clean that up.

Drake Maye looked like he’s a damned good QB today.

Nice win.

write him now if you wish.
I don't have the coaches tape, so don't know the full story.
He had limited snaps today, by design?
Did the coaches go with a bigger lineup by design to try and establish the run (12 personnel with Hollins and Boutte) and out physical Miami?
There were times during camp he was uncoverable, so now all of sudden he stinks?
There were several on here who were already talking about what QB we should pick next year.
There were several on here that already had Campbell moving to OG.
....etc.

Guess I'm more patient.

Douglas is a guy I could see getting dealt in a few weeks. Diggs eats into his slot snaps. Williams needs snaps too. Hollins and Boutte are your reliable X and Z most of the time. Chism is worth playing time. Maye and Pop don't really have chemistry. Lots of reasons.

Pop is putting decent film out there each week but isn't a total necessity here. Some team with a WR problem (and there's always a few every year) may flip a mid rounder.

I understand that the Miami D is in disarray. However, the fact that Maye was both effective and decisive is positive. Sure, it’s his second season. But he is a lot younger than other players drafted last year or even this year.

I want DM to be a very good qb. Because if they take care of that position, many woes can be overcome.

If you can get him playing smart, decisive and confident like he did today, it will cover a loooot of holes.

I haven’t seen the game yet, should they cut Drake Maye? Patsfan2? Is he the worst pick ever? He missed a pass on the first drive. He must suck.

Miami tried to rattle him and he kept his cool, which was good to see. They sent the house at him and he would immediately hit his running back for a chunk gain and a first down, multiple times. Blitz beater. I remember the same game plans sending Mac into a panic.

He's moved onto Pop Douglas, who played like, maybe 30 snaps today.

So, I got my dog out for a big walk, went to the gym and got my workout in, went to the driving range before golf, got my dog out again, played golf, went to the grocery store, came home and cooked my dog his steak. Kept my phone off the entire time. Went up to lay down and watch the game, turn on the tv and the FIRST ****ING THING THAT COMES UP IS —- BIG WIN IN MIAMI! Son of a goddamn *****, pissed me off like nobody’s business. **** it, I’m not even going to bother to try and avoid the score again this season.
I stopped playing golf on NFL Sundays years ago. Got my rd in yesterday

Was at a musical festival all day, just saw the recording. My assessment last week about poor run defense seems right. It didn’t show last week because the Raiders kept throwing, but the Patriots have problems stopping the run.

One think I noticed about Maye and his receivers, they are not on the same page. That will come. For instance, on the first TD drive, Hooper stopped his route and kind of turned. If he continued, Maye made a perfect throw and it would have been a TD. But Hooper evidently does not trust Maye's accuracy yet. He halted his route because he broke wide open. This was the difference between a long reception and a long TD reception.

Little things like this, the lack of YAC, should be overcome as the WRs and Maye become more familiar in this sytem.

Thanks, good to know. I’m still steaming about my tv telling me the result the second I turned it in.

Yes, this this this. He hit the running back. He hit Hooper on those 6-yard stick routes. He didn't sail it, he didn't try to force **** into triple coverage. He took what was there, for the most part. Winning football.

He's not clicking with Josh McDaniels either... I would rather see Barefoot Mack Hollins than Pop Douglas right now.
