Need a lot of time to go through this one. But happy to take the win. This keeps the season alive. But now they NEED to win against Pitt. If they beat the Raiders they could have dropped it. Now they need to beat a better team. It is a team they can beat though if they play well.

Key instant thoughts. Campbell has been overall very good. Think we have our LT of the future. Wilson bounced back nicely i think. Those 2 things are key. Bradbury has surprisingly been solid so far, but he is what he is. He'll mess up at points but he can for times be this good.

It is early. But i dislike the lack of Williams. For this team to make the playoffs he needs to come on and be a factor. They for 2 games have lacked a deep threat. Stevens was a fluke play. They can't keep winning without one. He needs to be out there more.

The defense has underwhelmed outside of the line. But they are better than this... even without Gonzo they should not be this bad. I think it will improve. But safety has not been solid. Hawkins isn't the answer. They will badly need Woodson to step up more over the course of the year.

And Diggs needs to be better. IF he stays like this all year without improving they aren't making the playoffs.

Oh and one last thing... We've talked about Maye making dumb plays almost every game. He was clean today.

Can we stop the playoff crap? We are in year 1 of another rebuild after having one of the worst rosters in the league. The season is not alive or dead. We are just building a new team and identity week be week. Yes, this team should be this bad without Gonzo. Hill and Waddle are no jokes and Achane is very good. Tua stinks. We already know our safeties are bad. Diggs does not need to be better. The dude suffered a brutal injury and has made it back in record time. He is on a pitch count and they are easing him in. He played 31 snaps today and 39 last week. This is all by design.

7 of Drakes 19 receptions went to WRs... for 64 yards..... Yeah... they need more consistency from this unit and can't lean so much on their RBs and TEs... this unit needs to be better. I think Chism and Williams are guys they need to get out there more. Douglas is not making a great case to be out there over Chism right now...

8 penalties last week and 10 this week. The coaching and players need to be better here. This can't continue..

Safety has been a mess 2 weeks in a row... Was Peppers really worse than this?

Spillane 2 bad games in a row... and part of it is scheme based i think... which is concerning....

Hopefully this becomes more apparent when Gonzo returns but the team doesn't seem to know whether they're a man-man team or a zone defense. They seem to be either or and I'd rather they combine the two in cover-4 which would allow Gonzo and Davis to man up on the outside while every one underneath plays zone.

No, with all due respect. I will not stop the playoff crap. I have been over it multiple times in many post why it matters they make it this year and what it would mean if they don't in detail. So i will say it simply so you understand why i very much want to and will be sad if they don't.

I want super bowl wins...
You are more likely to win super bowls when your QB is cheap... This is usually a 4-5 year window (rookie contract and cheaper early extension years).
You are more likely to win super bowls when your team has playoff experience. It is hard for a team to win on their first run even if they are very talented.
The Pats already lost 1 year of that window.... I don't want them to lose 2. A playoff game this year even if a loss will up their odds to win a super bowl massively... It gives them 3 good shots vs 2 good shots assuming they can continue to build.

I don’t want to get excited, we’re still far from a good team and it was the Dolphins after all, but so long as we see week to week improvement I’m good. We had it today with the OL, the running game and Maye. Now fix the penalties in week 3.

Be excited! They won on the road in Miami. Been a Pats fan 55 years, and that’s always worth celebrating. 2nd place in AFC East with a road division win in their pocket.

There will always be things to fix and improve, and it’s not your job to do it.
