Spillane looked pissed walking to the locker room when coach was greeting players, he knows he’s not playing well.
I’m confident he will turn it around. But I think Elliss is just not a starter. I kinda hope Tavai comes back and replaces him tbh.

Yeah... but.... but... but.. rham sucks he's not worth the $$$... .. your best players showed up today.. Barmore, Williams, Landry, Marcus, Drake if course.. I love the confidence Vrabel's instilled in his players... to go back to borregales on that 53 yarder was big.
Having Stevenson being a threat in the passing game gives defenses more to think about.

But Steelers don't have as much speed on wr as Miami . So I think our pass rush can be more potent .
That's right. We couldn't really blitz today and needed the DL to win one on one which they eventually did in the 2nd half.

He ought to be. As a captain he should be setting tone when the coach is not there and he whiffed not once or twice but multiple times, probably the worst game in his career.

12 penalties against NE

Indeed. Players made mistakes. "Well coached" means, the plays were well planned and called. The fact that the team isn't yet executing is on the players, not the coaches.

People whining about Spillane's missed tackles clearly didn't so background on him. That's the one knock on him. That he'll miss 1 in 10 tackles. He'll have several good games and then a bad one. Like today.

Thunderhead -
Last week was Drake's first with Josh, who is known for a complex offense (of course, much of that is with Brady's extraordinary football IQ). I wonder if the improvement his week is due to improvement by Drake, a better ability of Josh to adapt to Maye's and his strengths, or....

I go back to a point I made last week about the possibility that a win against the LVR wasn't the main priority, instead it was about getting Maye real world snaps in McDs system against 1s. An early sacrifice to advance later. Today I saw Maye pointing out the D in a way that reminded me of Brady. IF that was because of sacrifice against the LVR it'll be worth it.

I'm not overly worried because I think it was just a case of rookie jitters, but Treveyon Henderson had a 0.5 pff grade (out of 100). I'm not sure I've seen a grade that low before.

Rham was awesome, I like this version of him….but we know there is a dark side, hope he has worked on that.
Yeah when the like doesn’t block he doesn’t have holes and doesn’t gain yardage. Threats not his dark side.

Psyched to get a win for the young team. It was pretty ugly and against a terrible team but to pull it off in the end was phenomenal. I expected a slow start for this team with so many new players and coaches, my goal was to be 2-3 coming out of week 5 with hopefully gonzalez at full strength and us doing a bit better on both sides and hopefully start to clump more wins together then. Pitt and Carolina are not good teams , need to come out with at least one win out of those before a likely thumping in buffalo. But hopefully by October we are looking a bit better especially on the defensive side.

Give credit to maye, seems like the team was doing everything in their power to **** him but he played incredible and no turnovers! Imagine how he can be if this team gets anywhere near like what jj mccarthy and bo nix have around them. Strong defense that allows him more possessions, easy wins, real wr talent, and an ol that doesn’t piss itself either with bad play or penalties. Hopefully we have that for him at some point, i think sometimes we underestimate when evaluating Drake how much worse it is for him.

Rham bounced back in a huge way, arguably mvp if not maye. Need this from him WAY more often to justify the contract moving forth. For most of the rest of the offense, yall need to wake the **** up and do better for your qb! Though i will say the pass protection and playcalling was good this week at least.

Borregales had issues but showed major nuts at the end! Besides the kickoff miscue of course but hitting that fg says alot.

Good to see the pass rush come alive eventually. They really should’ve been in tua’s face all day with all miami’s injuries though. And im incredibly concerned over our safeties and lb’s. Cannot believe with all our money we couldn’t get a better option than hawkins. Im hoping i missed alot with him but everytime i see him he looks like **** aside from a couple plays last week. But like i said, hoping we look alot better in a few weeks.

Well today he missed 9 of 10.

Maye played as well in the first half last week as he did today (very good)
The improvement you refer to is Josh McDaniels not calling a half with zero handoffs to RB1 or rb2 to hamstring his qb in the second half last week
