We have to give the D a bit of leeway, with T.Will going out, and Kuhr taking over - who hasn't called a NFL D before.
All accounts seem like he's a very smart and capable DC. So, conventional thought is the more time he has, the better things can get.

…but this Patriots team just went down to humid Miami in September and came away with a Win. That has been very tough for them to do in recent memory. Great effort that they can build on. Congratulations Vrabel on your first win as the Head Coach of the Patriots!
Recent? 16-43 lifetime before today.

Plus this is a special situation that's tough for any defense. Few teams bring that much speed to the table.

It's not time to look forward yet, but Steelers D will be better than both LV & MIA.
And our D will have to be much more sound.
Man, I hope we get good news about Gonzo on Wed.

Good that they broke the Miami curse of not winning in Mia and being owned by Tua...well still got owned a little by Tua...
PBP,
Taking it all in. Waddle, hill and achane are guys with elite 4.2 speed. We went down to a place we traditionally struggled in.. weathered the storm.. and defense made plays to win the game. Wins like this can propel a team forward..

We started Alex Austin, Anfrenee Jennings and Christian Elliss today.

I'd still like to see Maye/McDaniels go deeper more often but I'm sure that will come. Build the confidence first.
Its early, they're probably working on it. I think the line has to jell more so maye has more time on long passes to develop

I tend to agree but on the other hand Sam Darnold put up 295 on the Steelers today and Seattle had 117 Rush yards in Pittsburgh. Is till think our team has a lot of work in front of them. I think Roger’s is more of a statue than Tua.

Good win, sounds like Drake did well. Ridiculous game as always in Miami, the back to back house calls topping it off lol.

TUA eating a game losing sack on 4 and 12 says everything about him.

If Vrabel had moved Peppers to LB I think he’d be our best tackling LB. Speaking of Peppers, we’ll see him next week.

It seems they're slowly integrating Williams in the pass game.
And, it was clear they were reeling in Henderson today. Typical game-plan specific stuff, and maybe they're working him along to be ready for certain teams.

I know... I don't think Vrabel had any other choice.. we could have had Fred warner out there he ain't covering achane out the backfield.. elite speed is hard to cover.. I expected the secondary to have its struggles without gonzo.

But they had a whole offseason together. It switched up like that in a week?
Good point. However, the practice field is different than on the field of conflict, when Prussian Field Mashall von Moltke said: "No plan of operations extends with any certainty beyond the first encounter with the main enemy forces", he was referring to war, but I suspect a similar principle holds with football, otherwise half time adjustments wouldn't be needed.

I loved peppers when he was here... his defense struggled against sam darlnold today.. I just want us to bear Roger's.
