Why didn't your offense do well against a defense missing even more top players?

That’s the mystery to me.

I have no idea why the offense played like they did.

They seemed to score at will on the final 2 drives but it was tough sledding before that.

I don't know how we will get a franchise QB if we have a winning streak. I don't want to be fighting for 3rd place in the division for the next five years. This team only needs a quality QB, a #1 WR, and health.

Somehow San Francisco, Philly and Kansas City did it while winning

They were at 47% pressured at one point against Allen. You don't get much better than that except getting the actual sacks against the guy/

And Keon white or Uche didn't play either. Once he gets back .. Jennings, white, barmore and uche.. should be a pretty good group to bring heat.

I don't think any of the local guys picked the Pats either, we know Breer didn't with his they'll lose by 30 prediction.

Mac is exactly what the scouts said he would be. High floor low ceiling. Guys like that are pretty good when they are set up for success but they can’t make a team better than they are.

You have to build the floor before you can work on the ceiling.

With much better OL play, Mac only panicked on one or two plays. On one sack under quick pressure, he was immediately looking for a place to fall.

For me, Mac's ceiling will be determined by his ability to maintain composure under pressure / when the play breaks down.

Much better today obviously, but a hell of a long way to go to become a reliably winning QB.

I will rephrase. Previously the team was good but Mac sucked. Today Mac was good. Not difficult to understand that difference. There are no "BUTS". Previsouly Mac sucked - that is true. Today Mac was good - that is true.

You have a hair across your ass.

What you are not answering is why Mac was good today after looking like the worst starter in the league for two weeks in a row.

Others are understandably attributing that to the much better OL play with Owenu at RT and Strange back at LG.

So what is your explanation about why Mac suddenly became so much better today?

It was a day for the punching bags. Cole Strange was also a factor in the OL getting better. He did his job and allowed the team to move Onwnu to RT.
